This morning I tried two credit cards to add a recurring sub to an account. Both were declined.

One was a Discover, one a MasterCard. Both are current cards I use almost daily. Both have almost no balance.

Are you having problems authorizing transactions?

Update - When I used my bank debit card the transaction went through.

Also, I received a call from my MasterCard's fraud department. I had used this card with SoE before.

My Discover Card's fraud department just called.

Sucks because I have to have a recurring sub to tx toons to another account. I'd much rather use SC to sub. Now It looks like CC fraud is so bad with SoE that I had to use a debit card.

This is because of the extra security measures implemented after the security breach at Sony a while back, not because you've been a victim of fraud. I know many people who say their banks have repeatedly denied Sony transactions, and they've had to sign a waiver saying they authorize all SoE purchases. You can always sub with SC; the only drawback is that you won't get the extra 500sc a month or do (I believe) server transfers.

So Discover sent me a new card today (I wasn't aware it was being sent) because of the threat of fraud against my account.

So, SoE, now I have to deal with a new credit card number and changing everything related to it.

Ugh. Thanks.
