Roekilik world event: problem with Icy dig

<p>Hello,</p><p>Some times ago (before GU63) I helped 2 friends on Storms starting the Roekilik timeline.</p><p>We did "Disturbance" and went to everfrost without problems.</p><p>We then did "Revelation" and entered Icy dig without problems either.</p><p>We then took a several weeks break and my friends started back on the timeline yesterday. They went to Icy dig for "the cost of success" and did the step, then started the next quest, "Harness" and that time couldn't zone in.</p><p>I said "ok, I still haven't done The cost of success", I'll try zoning into Icy dig and ended up zoning into permafrost. No choice on the door, nothing. We have the right level for Icy dig.</p><p>We all tried degrouping, zoning one at a time, zoning with different group set up, we had the explosive powders and all but to no avail. We never could zone into Icy Dig.</p><p>Levels:</p><p>- Sephalinos : 72 wizard- Vydania : 67 paladin- Whilhelmina : 90 necromancer</p>

<p>I almost missed you stating that you all had the explosive powders, which I was going to say IIRC that you *must* have.</p><p>I think the Icy Dig itself has a lockout timer, even if you finish a step you have to wait for the timer to expire. I finished up that world event last fall, from the 'Disturbance' point myself. Of course lots of changes have been made since then so it could have been 'broken' by something just throwing it out there that it has worked <em>somewhat</em> recently.</p><p>It is a tricky world event, it has 3 different scenarios depending on what level you started (i think) the disturbance phase at.</p><p>I would advise you to look on eq2.wikia or eq2.zam and make sure.</p>

<p>Thanks for the advice but I already did it :/</p><p>I bought some powders due to what I read hehe. Our levels sends us to Icy Dig without question and we were able to enter it for the first quest sending us to the mines. But that was weeks ago which is why I'm wondering if something got broken in between. None of us gets the option of entering the zone.My friends had he zone written as "unlocked" in the zone timers window.</p>

<p>update:</p><p>I tried several days later and it worked. Go figure.</p><p>Hubby that did the quest years and years and years ago, told me that "sometimes", Icy dig shows on Permafrost door and sometimes it doesn't. Something like 1 time out of ten. Why does it do that? no clue.</p>
