Granted, it's generally accepted that 100% strikethrough... isn't... but I wanted so see, and figured I'd put out the results of one basic test.

Solo (actually solo: no buff box, no merc), reforged to 100% ST exactly, weapon skills = 601, on a single run through Research Halls. That zone seems most consistently near lvl 92, with no weird dets to throw things off, and was a quick/easy baseline.

Just looking at my 2219 autoattack swings (crushing), I missed 4 times, and was blocked 245 times for an 89% melee hit rate. The log showed plenty of times I successfully struckthrough, so it was working to some extent, and the swings that didn't do any damage to the handlers before they were dragged over the electric rail registered as 'melee', not crushing, so those aren't factored in.

Is the "100 points of weapon skills more than the mob's defense to get maximum effect" still in play? Are these piddly mobs' buff packages just so high that the Beam Handlers, for example, could still block me an average of 21% of the time? The tinkerers and summoned tarantulas never blocked me, which is encouraging. Since they're the weakest mobs in the zone it at least suggests that my stats sufficed to make full use of the ST, but more poking is needed.

Thoughts?

I've also hit 100% Strikethrough and I've noticed that I still get avoided plenty.

Back when Romero in ToFS x2 still had a 100% strikethrough buff instead of 50%, I noticed the same thing when tanking with my Paladin. Seemed to me like 100% strikethough means you only halve amount your attacks are blocked/parried/riposted. Is it on a similar curve as cast, reuse and recovery speed are?

Is it possible that Strikethrough doesn't work properly on certain kinds of attacks, such as AoE attacks or flurries?

Also, you likely will not reach a 100% hit rate on MOBs that aren't at least blue to you, as the maximum benefit from +weapon skills is capped, and very likely it is capped below 100% for white+ conning MOBs. It's the fact that you were being blocked that seems odd, as 100% strikethrough should mean that you only ever see "misses" or "dodges." Is it possible that the combat feedback just calls "misses" other verbs occasionally just for flavor?

Neither Strikethru or Accuracy work as they are described.

Either they need new descriptions, or they need to be fixed to match the descriptions.

As a zerk, I done my fair share of power levling =P so i've found ST to best utilized against orange-> red cons. Whether or not it's 100% tho i'm not sure but I will tell you this, anything above 8 lvl's goes from nearly 0% dmg to skyrocketing damage as if the mob was equal/below my level. Also, I see 'misses' when it's up never a 'block'; granted my ST is based preGU63 experienced insight (which also adds +20% chance to hit) and whatever ST i had from raid gear at the time, thinkin fully loaded/proc'd I was ~>90%.

tl/dr; strikethrough best noticed/utilized on mobs > your current level.

@yimway- i have no !@#$ing clue how accuracy works either, certainly a terrible description on it as well.
