I must have missed some of the story arc, but who is Grendish the dragon and why is he invading Skyshrine? He disappears at the end of the instance when he tries to pursue one of the guardians. Instead we get to fight Dozekar who I am sure is just one of his lackies. Any information on either Dozekar or Grendish would be appreciated.

On EQ it was believed that Dozekar was Kerafyrm's father. No idea if anything ever confirmed that, I just remember him kicking my butt in ToV's Halls of Testing.

Don't recall Grendish from EQ and haven't done any of the Skyshrine stuff. Anyone have any dialogues from what's going on in there?

Interesting. Decided to see if Grendish existed in EQ and sure enough, he did, and a player posted a conversation with him back in 2007: http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/s...221906125531274

From that dialogue it sounds like he was egging players on to destroy the warders and free Kerafyrm, though I might be misreading it.

Susarrak was also in Skyshrine in EQ, more dialogue: http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/s...956014440532291

This is what I got from it, I could be way off base.

The storyline of the Underdepths seems to revolve around the four crusaders mentioned by Lord Yelinak in Thurgadin. You find the corpses to two of the crusaders and witness the fight between Grendish and Susarrak. I got the general impression that Grendish was one of the four, Susarrak being the final, and it was Grendish who betrayed Skyshrine to Kerafyrm. The links to Grendish the Crusader and Susarrak the Crusader in EQ1 seem to confirm this.

The corpse of Charayan is the first dead dragon you find.

http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/s....shtml?id=10631

I think Jortreva's corpse is the second.

http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/s....shtml?id=10502

Also, as Dozekar is one of the main bosses of this update, I think it's extremely likely that he was indeed Kerafyrm's father.

Nice.. I'm ally with Skyshrine with my main on EQ, might have to pop into there tomorrow and see if those two have anything interesting to say.

It was kinda funny to see that they would eventually force the new Skyshrine upon every server regardless of whether they woke him up or not. This screwed up with the rampage script and broke it. Just one more reason for the Rallos Zek server to ensure that they killed Kerafyrm when they woke him up... and they did... and it was GLORIOUS!

As for Dozekar, while it's never been straight up confirmed that he is Kerafyrm's father, it is very heavily implied that he is. His punishment as such was to be bound to the western wing of the Temple of Veeshan, where he was supposed to die to mortals, be resurrected by the priests, and forced to live the rest of eternity being killed again and again.
