Conveting from Wizard to Warlock.. worth it?

<p>I'm considering converting my 90 wiz to be a warlock. so as to be more AOE centric and match my playstyle a little better.</p><p>If i did convert would I lose all of my factions? (i do be staying evil so i wouldnt change cities, just classes)</p>

<p>No you won't lose faction.</p><p>There is nothing lost when betraying now, you can go back and forth and not lose masters, this is yet another thing that they have completely trivialized.</p>

Just to clarify if you go Wizard -> Warlock you need new spells/masters and to replace any Wizard-only gear, but if you go back to Warlock, you get all your masters back. Also, assuming you have done your epic weapon and Epic Repercussions, you can just buy your Warlock mythical spell.

<p>I would say go for it. I did this just a few weeks ago...I will say the questline to betray is a huge pain, however, now I do a ton more encounter damage which is great for soloing and grouping, vs the Wizard which really started to slow down for solo but is still way superior as far as single target dps for dungeon named take downs.</p>

<p>I would say reconsider.</p><p>With the new prestige system, there are more options for a wizard to do AoE damage.</p>
