LAUNCHPAD April 2012 - Not Working, NO Clear combined and problem-solved thread here

Thanks!</span></em></span></p><p>I, like many others have also reported, <strong>am completely unable</strong> to play EQ2 at all right now.  When I click on on my laptop's icon to start the game, I get a black screen with the SOE logo, then that screen disappears. When I check my processes, the Launchpad.exe and the Awesomonius.exe are both running, but no game. I have to quit them manually.</p><p><strong>I have contacted tech support with a ticket</strong> outside the game from my account login, but even after 2-3 days have received no answer and no resolution posted into the tech support report segment of my logged-in account.</p><p>1) What exactly is wrong, and when will it be fixed by the devs?</p><p>2) Is this blackout of the launchpad the same problem as the also reported "change to streaming" launchpad?</p><p>3) If I and others need to do something specific to get a new launchpad/download/etc. to get our games to work, then <strong>PLEASE post a single problem-solving message </strong>from the Forum Admin(s) <strong>that gives a simple, step-by-step, with appropriately linked downloads and such</strong>, so we can get on with it. </p><p>It really is unacceptable to get NO response from the in-account tech support ticket, and to not already have an easy-to-find Sticky Note Announcement with the fix and steps for this. $14.95/month may not seem like much to SOE employees, but I am between jobs and SOE's ability to communicate and fix/help us get fixed issues will determine if I stay with EQ2 (which I love, by the way). I am facing being kicked out of my guild because I can't log in to stay active. </p><p>Thank you.</p>

<p>I had EXACTLY your problem, the following solved it.  (I use the streaming launcher)</p><p>1: navigate to your game folder</p><p>2: delete the LaunchPad.libs folder and all its contents, and the launchpad.exe file.</p><p>3: download the newest launcher installer from the forum link here (make sure to get the right one for your version) <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=510282">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=510282</a></p><p>4: install, but choose a DIFFERENT INSTALL FOLDER (in my case it chose a different folder for itself)</p><p>5: after installing and running up the launcher once to download the libs, exit the launcher</p><p>6: copy the launcher exe and the whole LaunchPad.libs from the new install to your real game install folder</p><p>run the launchpad, everything now worked for me. You can now delete the temporary install you did.</p>

<p>I know theres a fix slated for this however I'm not 100% sure when it's scheduled (I believe with tomorrow's patch) - past that the workaround above hopefully should fix you up.</p><p>As to the slow response on your ticket, we do apologize for that. We've got a *ton* of tickets right now and we're servicing them as fast as we can in the order in which they're received.</p>

<p>My launcher keeps switching to Russian language even though US english is selected.  Not a big deal but odd bug.</p>

<p>Well, no response to my last note. Meanwhile, tech support has been having me dinki around with things that seem to have noyhing to do with the broken launchpad.</p><p>Now I am trying to figure out how to just quit the game and <strong>get refunded for the days that SOE/EQ2 has been broken</strong>. Tips, anyone?</p>

<p>I'm having the same problem tried all sorts of fixes including downloading the launchpad time and again but to no avil . Also same problem with the support / no support . gettin so sick of downtime in this game and no help or info when we need it.</p>
