If you are planning on using the bonus experience to get some AA points you will probably want to do so cautiously lest you possibly waste your time.

They have just announced a change to the AA experience curve that will significantly boost your amounts at the high end.

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=516875

You may want to monitor this situation, because barring a change to the formula you will likely go from the 280-285 AA region all the way up to 320.

So if you are grinding past that point all that time could be for naught when the switch happens.

Just remember, things change, so they may alter the curve some before it hits live. You will just have to decide whether you want to be sure you get the AA or chance wasting the time that could be spent on alts or whatnot.

I personally would not take a toon past 290.

Please spread the word to friends and guildies so that they may plan accordingly.

I dunno if I'd completely bank on values of the first change of something like this on test. The formula may be tweaked before go-live.

That being said, I'm probably not going to bother piling any aa on my toons over 300, but I have a couple 80/200 toons I'll probably bump to 90/300 this weekend.

Yea, definitely subject to change. Just wanted to make sure that word trickled out so people could make an informed a decision as possible.

the rate only changes if your under 280 aa. they said the change was to get people to 280 aa so they can level above 90.

I copied my toon over that was closest to 280 to see.

Was 268 and went to 303, so it looks like 282 or 283 will get you to 320 if they don't change the curve(line).

Im wondering how the algorithm will change say 1-200aa if any at all.

Did they reduce the amount of exp needed per aa overall? or just in certain ranges etc..

Rushing people right along again I see...

Is there no value to the low-level game to the current powers-that-be, other than an apparatus to shuttle people as quickly as possible to the 90/280 "real game" in DoV?

The game curently does not teach new players anything anyway, they reach lvl 90 with no idea what they are doing.

Just wanted to confirm what other people have already said. Using the data from the other thread, plus my own furher data, it looks like a linear 13% increase.

If the curve is not changed, that means the magic number is around 283.2 AAs to get to 320, so keep that in mind while you are watching the forums for changes and considering how you want to spend your time this weekend.

I'm happy to see this bonus added. Especially considering they are locking the new content behind an aa number.

I've just returned and could be wrong, but this is the first time they've locked content behind aa's before right?

to say they are "locking the content behind AA" is really exaggerating things.

personally, as a person that likes to do instances when not raiding, its atleast some what comforting to know a person over level 90, atleast has a good amount of AA.

people are far too fond of powerleveling toons to 90 and having little to no AA, and just trying to get them by simply doing instances.

nothing like getting a dirge in your group then asking "why dont you have dex sonata?"
