Hey guys, I apologize if this has been asked before but a half hour of searching turned up nothing.

I am (yet another) returning subscriber. I had a level 80 character during Kunark (which was the most recent xpac I purchased). I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to tell me what I need to buy to be fully caught up. Does AoD come with all previous xpacs, or do I need to buy DoV (which I saw does contain all previous xpacs) AND AoD? Thanks in advance.

AOD has features - it gives you reforging, tradeskill apprentices (research special recipes), Beastlord class, and mercenaries. DOV gives you the latest expansion which has the highest level content. If it were me, I'd get both.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I appreciate the input; I'll probably grab both as the Mercs sound infinitely useful for leveling up.

Opinions will vary on usefulness of mercs also. For my level 34 Templar I'm loving having a fighter merc. I used an SK merc with my Necromancer in Runnyeye during double xp to get her AA points up from embarrassingly low to very high for her level.

And remember, you may have only purchased up to Kunark, but everyone has access through Sentinel's Fate now.

Ok cool..thanks guys. I'm thinking of rolling a Mystic with a Monk leveling partner. I guess we could pull out mercs for bosses and such while leveling? Or maybe that won't even be needed. I recall the game being pretty difficult (especially HQs) but I guess we'll see. Thanks for all the input!
