Don't mean to sound negative or to complain, but I really think "Fan Faire" just sounds better altogether and it's kind of tradition.

For me, I think Fan Faire denotes a different emphasis than SOE Live does.

SOE Live sounds like a game console. What is the change supposed to convey?

I wonder too why the change. For almost a decade (longer?) it's been called Fan Faire. Not only is it a cute variant of "fanfare," and not only was there a faint connection of medieval fantasy due to the spelling, it also properly emphasized the focus was on the fans.

Now it's not about the fans anymore, but about SOE? This is one change that you did NOT need to make right now considering all the other community relations issues you guys have going on. Telling the fans that this event is no longer about them is going to add another nail in the coffin.
