Stop wands from switching autoattack modes from melee to ranged.

<p>Hello.</p><p>Please give us a way to stop wands from switching from melee to ranged when I cast a spell with a wand equiped.  Yes, I could use a symbol instead but there is no symbol I can make make from colossal reactants and I do not buy raid gear. Prefer to earn my gear by the actions on one of my characters that does not include farming for plat. </p>

<p>Alot of people, myself included in my own thread a few weeks back, have been asking for this since the inception of Spell Auto Attack...primarily coercer and illusionist players because they have an entire AA line designed around melee abilities.  (dont even get me started on the new prestige lines for chanters either because they forgot about that too..)</p><p>But, it seems to be lost on who ever coded the Spell Auto Attack that "Hey, maybe Chanters don't want to use it because they are Melee Spec'd..."  So we basically get shafted on using some nice items that we could reforge in our favor.  So instead of making Spell Auto Attack a neat feature for ranged mages that can't melee it puts chanters out in the cold because instead of being able to use an intuitive system like reforging for an item we find useless we are left to pass on the item.   </p><p>I guess SOE doesnt really mean it when they say "Play your way" because obviously whoever is in control of mechanics is pushing us all into one direction when it comes to items and its pretty sad.</p><p>I would also like a dev to hear us out on this subject beause all spell auto attack does is just toggle off Melee Attack... just make it not do that.. or make Spell Auto Attack only work beyond Melee Range..</p><p>IF or When they change it don't use any wands with ranged dmg on it until then...</p>

Already a ton of threads on this. Your only choice right now is to not equip a Focus/Ranged Wand if your class benefits from Melee Autoattack. I realize they are gimped on stats, but that's the current option.
