Silver accounts unable to play on the test server?

<p>I got on the test server recently , and ran into an issuse where I was able to level to 90 but unable to equip any of the items provided because they were legendary or higher </p><p>and there is no unlockers available to  "use " the equipment  </p><p>Am i to understand that  soe does not  welcome / want silver accounts to be able to use  playable charactrs on the test server or is this an oversight ?</p><p>additionally , how do you get feedback from the entire player base when silver and bronze accounts cant participate on test?</p>

You are more then welcome to test the things that is allowed with silver status. I don't see the issue really?

<p>In fact it would defeat the purpose, to allow testing of things that you shouldn't be able to use on live servers w/o unlockers etc.</p>

<p>did you not read the post ? or did you just "glance" at it?</p><p>as it is set up on test at this time SILVER CAN NOT PLAY ON THE TEST SERVER and evaluate the new content</p><p>that is the point of this post</p><p>the purpose of test server is to "test" the new content</p><p>go and create a silver account then get on test hit the genie , and see how far you get .....</p><p>if you dont currently play actively on a silver account(and im guessing you dont ) you havent got a clue as to what i am talking about</p><p>so , please do ME a favor and find out exactly (what i am talking about)what the problem is before you shoot your(response) mouth off </p><p>when you get on the test server with a silver account and you upgrade tyo 90 at the genie the equipment "provided" when you upgrade is legendary or better ..you may not remember but silver accounts can only equip as high as treasured and mastercrafted unless an unlocker is used (and you can not get unlockers on the test server)</p><p>so let me see if i got this right... level 90....no armor.....no weapon ....</p><p>I would like to see you kill lev 90 mobs naked and with no weapon ...SERIOUSLY  YOU DONT SEE THE PROBLEM?</p><p>so how the flibbity shibbity does a silver account play/evaluate the new content on the test server ?(before it goes live )</p><p>you tell me since the answers you provided to this thread are completely useless LANDIN and ALAPLAYER?</p>

<p>Copy your level 90 toon from live to test_copy instead of buffing a new character created on test.  That way it has your gear (unlocked/treasured/mc) already on it and you aren't stuck with a naked level 90.  Also if you happen to have any unlockers in your bag or bank (not shared) they should copy over with your character, which might help if you get new pieces on test_copy.</p>

<p>Personally,</p><p>I think they should change TEST (not test copy) to complete F2P with ZERO restrictions.  Should increase the actual player volume there immensely and maybe catch more bugs before they get pushed to live that current testers aren't able to find, because their population is rather small. /shrug</p>

Those two were trying to help you and all you did was attack them. I too was confused what you meant until your cruel and mean response to two people trying to help you. You could have worded your initial post far more clearly to indicate that the equipment given by the buffer is not equippable by silver players.</p><p>I think Sony does want you to test, so maybe they can offer treasured gear for silver and bronze members to either purchase or simply ask for from the beta buffer. I am sorry that you feel they don't want you there, I'm pretty sure that standard set of lvl 90 gear is the same standard set they gave out since the DOV beta, so its not like it was an intentional slight. F2P was just an idea at that time, not a reality.</p>

<p>Pre-F2P, whenever I would suggest that people go test stuff before it gets released, I would always hear something along the lines of "Why should I pay to test?"</p><p>I find myself asking that question now. I recently decided to drop down to silver for a bit. I accept the restrictions on live, but if I'm going to test something, I believe it's only fair that they come up with some way to at least give limited time gold access on the test copy server. No one's trying to get anything for nothing here. That's the most ridiculous thing you can say, considering all the gear they put on vendors.</p><p>People seem to be forgetting or ignoring a key feature missing from Test Copy and that's the ability to unlock gear. Obviously, it makes no sense to charge SC for these items if the server gets wiped on a regular basis. There should be an alternative for those that want to help out. They only get a small percentage of the population to test. Why should people be restricted if they actually want to help?</p>

<p>a while ago, ppl had unlimited SC on test copy.  they removed it when there was some exploit for a totally different part of the game, with the promise of returning it.  they never did.  they should put unlimited SC back on test copy.  then, silvers could buy all the unlockers that they want & it would test any bugs from the unlockers.</p>

<p>I remember the unlimited SC from the AoD beta. They could bring it back, but I think it might be simpler to just have different rules on the server or some kind of timed beta buff that allows for gold access.</p><p>I picked up a skyshrine beta buff today and was inundated with a bunch of masters I couldn't equip. That's a lot of unlockers to go through and I didn't even have the space to put an unlocker. There's just not much incentive to test, when you have to go through so many more steps and still have the limits to cash and everything else. I doubt any bugs would crop up with unlockers. Items have their flags and that's all there is to it.</p>

It was a good thing.</p></blockquote><p>it wasn't JUST beta AoD.  test server copy ALWAYS had unlimited SC until an exploit was found that has nothing to do with test copy server.  the test copy server was affected by the exploit in that they removed it from test copy server and never put it back.  if i remember correctly, it had to do with a beta and was probably from DOV.</p>
