Unable to launch eq2 with Launcher

<p>I keep getting this error message :</p><p>Unable to launch c:/everquest II/everquest.exe -740: The request requires elevation</p><p>with a Red Retry button on the bottom right corner instead of play.</p><p>I have uninstalled the new launcher and reinstalled the new launcher, I have also uninstalled and reinstalled EQ2 and still having this issue.  The target application under properties of the new new EQ2 icon show c:/everquestII/laucher.exe, but when i changed this to c:/everquestII/eq2.exe it seems to work. It also seems to work if i just click on everquest2.exe in the everquestII directory.  Is this some sort of bug?</p><p>Both my wifes computer and mine are having this issue, so for now i just made a shortcut for everquest2.exe application.</p>

<p>Running everquest2.exe should work but...</p><p>The error you're running in to means that the application is installed in a protected folder and needs additional permissions to run. You can fix this by moving it to a non-protected folder (like the default C:userspublicsony online entertainmenteverquest 2) or right-click the app and choose "run as administrator" to give it the elevated privileges you need.</p>
