Just logged in to Test to start progression for my crafter. Went to the Crafting Trainer to buy books. He does not have them! Where are they?

My wife says there is an in-game quest but how am I supposed to know this? Please arrange for a letter to be sent to crafters indicating that there is a quest and where to find the quest. (We get letters send us to send us to New Halas at level 10 and Bucherblock at level 20)

It seems they are quest rewards.

Really? Yes - Really. At level 90 the game mechanices have completely changed. Why? The first book is easy enough, but I can't see how to get the level 91 Essentials. It look as though I have to go more than half way across a zone full of high level agro mobs. There may be a safe path but it's not obvious. Some of the mobs seem to have a big aggro radius. One of the great features of EQ2 was that you coule be a level 4 adventurer and a level 90 crafter, now it looks as though you need to be a level 90 Adventureer to be a level 92 Crafter.

And what has happned to the level 90 Crafting Books? In the past when a new tier hit the level 89 books were split for scholars everyone else had new books. Why the change? As I can't level up at the moment I can scribe the books so I'm not commenting on that yet.

Is it worth crafting? The first quest I picked up offered level 90 kit comparable with Ry'Gor armour. Is there going to be level 92 M/C and is it going to be worth having? For 0 levels?

------

Hem, it seems I can scribe level 91 Essentials and Advanced Books at level 90. Another interesting change. Or is it just a short term fix until we can level up.

It's a short term fix (being able to scribe and create the recipes) so the content can get checked.

Get an invis to get to the other end of the zone. The only things I found that see invis are the raptor and they hang around the zone walls mostly.

After you do make it to the other crafting area, the first quest for the essentials 92 works fine. The quest for Advanced 92 is broken (missing the clicky item to place a totem). I'm thinking it's placed under terrain *shrug*.

We've got a month to pound on this stuff. Everything doesn't have to be hit the first day.

I need to be at least a level 30 adventurer to use Totem of the Chameleon/Grand Chameon, which is (I think) the lowest level invisibility item available to everyone. Furthermore the mobs are more than 10 levels above the level 10 adventurer, so unless the zone has different mechanics the mobs can see through the invisibility.

My wife just checked that. Inivisiblity does not work for a level 32 Ratonga.

So we have to bypass the zone with help from a friend using

- Call of the Veteran

- Call of the Hero

- Traverse Shadow (or the like)

- Guild Flag.

What is the point?

You cannot use any invis if the mobs are red anyway. They see through lowbie invis.

Sounds to me, they need special transport for the crafters. I might be bale to check after I recover from helping my dad at the ranch my main is also a 90 crafter. I also copied a few other 90 crafters of much lower levels to help test that sort of thing.

Using the Skyshrine Beta Bauble (auto-given by clicking NPC Bill the Goat), you'll automatically be level 90 and able to better navigate the zone.
