I need help! Won't start!

<p><span style="color: #99cc00;">Alright, to start off, I'm not sure if this is in the right area. If it is, please feel free to move it!</span></p><p><span style="color: #99cc00;">So, I was going to start up and play EverQuest 2 today, and there was an update. I updated it, I didn't choose the character I wanted to play because I wasn't sure if I wanted to play on my ShadowKnight or not, I'm a curious person. I made sure that the green button said, "Playing" on it. Sure enough, it did. I ran upstairs to get some dinner. (Long story short.) I came downstairs and the launcher closed out. EverQuest 2 wasn't running, I tried it again and the same thing happened. Should I re-install the game? Can anyone give me some advice please?</span></p><p><span style="color: #99cc00;">All advice and help would be great! Thanks!</span></p>

<p>First make sure you are running as administrator.</p><p>Second check if your anti virus/firewall doesn't like Eq2. Some of them freak out about programs that regularly update (mine absolutely hates any mmo).</p><p>Those are the problems I've seen people have personally that result in it closing like that.</p>

<p>I went to Add/Remove Programs and uninstalled it from there. I reinstalled it and it gets to the black screen with the cursor after like 10 minutes, and then it freezes and I have to shut my computer off.</p>
