Starting this thread in hopes that we can keep the WL quest feedback in one place.

Can I Keep It? - At the end of the quest you get attacked by a corrupted Drakkel wolf. This seems really random and the Handler doesn't flinch an eye and keeps attempting to talk to you. If you continue with Handler Shirsha's dialogue it sounds like she wants to give you another quest but she doesn't.

Porto Bunglefoot - I can see that he/she wants to give me a quest all the way over on the opposite side of the zone.

Field Marshal Vishra - Lost Soldiers

1. His initial dialogue only talks about the overgrowth, the first time you see the name "Mourning Lowlands" is in the quest summary. It's not introduced to you.

2. I hailed a Combine Soldier, and he updated just from the dialogue steps. I never had to use the healing salve, and it has no right-click to use option, so why have it as an item?

3. Also the quest step explicitly says to apply the salve, which you don't do.

4. The quest doesn't tell you how many soldiers you have to find, there's no counter on it. This makes it confusing.

5. You can repeatedly re-hail the same soldier as he's walking back, and go through the same dialogue. The quest step flashes so it seems to update?

6. The soldiers also respawn - are they meant to be shared with other players? Going through his dialogue again seemed to update the quest again too, but it's the same soldier.

Field Marshal Vishra - Running with the Pack

1. His initial dialogue says to kill mantraps. The quest summary says briarthorn plants, which matches the NPC names. I guess they're the same thing, but when I read "mantrap" I didn't realise it was a plant thing.

2. I didn't see any supplies for ages, then found 4 within a small area. Last one was at -2901, -746, -205. Could just be random luck, the ROI is pretty large.

3. My fury is in Ry'Gorr gear and so far the time to kill the mobs here feels good, for overland zone stuff.

4. Typo in dialogue handing in quest, you say "several of the creatures I encounters" - should be "encountered".

4. Quest summary reads a little odd "clear out several of the creatures I found out in the Mourning Lands" - with two "out"s in there.

Field Marshal Vishra - Lost in the Woods

1. Don't know if it matters, but I could see the caravan cart objects during the previous quest. Actually thought the first one I saw was the supplies, but couldn't click on it. But didn't know what it was.

2. Dialogue handing in quest, you say "made off with whoever accompained them" - should be "accompanied".

Can I Keep It?

1. CUUUTE!!! I love the animations and puppy sounds!

2. I handed in the quest. The dialogue says you give the pup away, I wanted to keep it! But the dialogue says you don't. After the quest completed I then had a giant wolf spawn on me for no reason I can see(!) and I still have the pup following me.

Field Marshal Vishra - Voice in the Forest

1. The priest reward 090_871_priest_primary_1h_crush has no proper name, no icon, and no visible appearance.

2. Typo in quest description says "the creatures known as Silnus" - should be "creature".

3. Typo in first quest step, says "Silnis" not "Silnus".

EDIT:

4. Also typo in the first quest step, says "Sactuary".

5. I can't find the right NPC at the Sanctuary of Mourning. There's no POI for him. There's an NPC called "Silnas", at the Sanctuary of Waning, but that doesn't match the quest or dialogue on Vishra or Blaera. And he gives another quest, and does not update this one. I'm rather confused at this point.

Flight Officer T'Vel - No Clearance to Land

1. You don't see the result of investigating the 3rd spot when it updates. Was it any good or not? I don't know. It doesn't give an individual result message, instead it updates the whole quest step saying you've done all three areas.

2. Dialogue handing in the quest, not sure but "a passers-by scout" sounds plural whereas there's only one of me, should it be "passer-by"?

Clever Girl

1. Fun quest! I liked the ambush.

2. Typo in the quest summary: "After getting near it the raptor, ..." - think the "it" needs removing.

Sergeant Herla - They Won't Need It Anymore

1. In the dialogue with her, you offer to scout the area. The quest description says she asked you to take out the stronger ones. This is totally different!

2. The K'Val ruins are amazing, really well done by the artists! I loved flying up the broken lift shaft as well.

3. This has taken quite a long time. The ROI is basically showing you only where the ruins are - that's ok, so I go searching. At first I didn't know what I was looking for, I tried killing some mobs because I didn't see anything obvious. Then found the root - that's pretty large. Found the page upstairs, that has a strong sparkley.

But getting a bit fed up now, I'm not finding the handler's object. Maybe I'm just blind but I'm giving up on this for now.

Logistics Officer Solanis - Many Mouths to Feed

1. Typo in dialogue before quest, "but much of it are tainted by corruption".

2. Gathering the beetles isn't very intuitive. You click on them and nothing happens, it's a hail action which does nothing. Took me a moment to find the right-click then gather option on it. Also they're not the largest things to right-click on! Even if "next target" would select it, can you get to the option without using the mouse?

3. There don't seem to be many beetles out there, or it's because they're small and moving around maybe makes them hard to find. But I've been on 2/4 for ages.

4. I haven't found any berries at all. Not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for. I do actually like searching quests, within a defined area, if not too frustrating. But the ROI is huge and I've not seen anything that could be berries, This quest is annoying me now, sorry.

Totemic Reinforcement (crafting)

Cannot progress bug: 4th totem to the east is missing the placement clickie - there's no rock, much less a clickie rock, for placing the final totem. Quest cannot be completed.

Cosmetic bug: questgiver says he marked your map with a location, but there's no map POI

Sergeant Herla - They Won't Need It Anymore

4. Got this to update whilst on another quest. It's cool to fly around the ruins, and you have to for the upstairs part, but because you're flying over mobs you don't want to fight, you're going to miss the ground triggers.

It's currently extra misleading because after finding the first two objects, you're expecting a third, not something to spawn on you (though the different interactions makes it interesting).

A suggestion: Use 3 ROIs instead of one big one for the ruins. For the clicky objects to find, these can still be broadish ROIs for searching. But for the mob spawn use a tight POI dot, so the player knows exactly where the update should be. If they're hovering over the spot and see nothing, most players will have the sense to land, if only to look closer. But at least they'll know their in the right place. My biggest problem was I was still having to search the entire ruins, not know where OR what I was after.

5. When I got the spawn, there were mobs in the room already on roughly the same spot. I had engaged them for another quest. I honestly didn't notice the extra mobs appear and just saw the quest update afterwards. (I'm a small fae with flight buff on, giants are big, you don't see that much!) Might be better not to have normal mobs on the same spot as this quest spawn.

6. Dialogue handing in the quest, makes out you didn't kill the giant and plant bosses, Jenluk and Thorncreep. But they're easy kills and I've taken them out for the loot both times I've been in the ruins now. So the story is rather inconsistent with the reality of what players will do.

7. The quest summary then says "I was able to destroy the strong creatures" - but you aren't required to take out all three, the quest only has you kill one of them.

8. Looks like the quests are giving a set of armour. The names aren't consistent though. My fury has "Corrupted Mist Panther Skin Cap" vs. "Mist Panther Skin Boots" which aren't "corrupted".

Lieutenant Rockshatter - Plan of Attack

1. Quest description reads a bit oddly, has sort of has "asking for a map of the ruins" in there twice.

Commander Bludeye - Invasive Species

1. I like the dialogue with this guy! In fact the same goes for lots of the NPCs I've picked up quests from so far. Some of them really have attitude.

2. The priest reward 090_871_priest_primary_1h_crush_2 has no icon, no proper name, and no visible appearance.

Logistics Officer Solanis - Many Mouths to Feed

5. Typo in quest summary "Solnais" should be "Solanis"

Commander Bludeye - Invasive Species Removal

1. Typo in dialogue before quest: "I has expected as much"

Researcher Silviss -Something Amiss

1. Typo in dialogue before quest "Id like to see how they do their infection" - should be "I'd".

2. The first quest step has the same text as a previous quest, and it doesn't fit here. "I need to enter K'val Ruins and destroy the strongest creatures I can find there". Copy 'n' paste error?

3. The giant corpse gives errors about being too far away to click it, when you're standing right next to his top half, or even standing in him. The clickable range needs to be larger.

4. When you click the spores, they don't despawn. They stay there, but you can't click them again.

Researcher Grelga - Not As It May Seem

1. Are the soil patches supposed to be under the berry bushes for Something Amiss? It sort of makes sense, but mayeb a little harder to click on.

2. Grelga's Spade, the icon looks like a spear. Isn't there a spade icon that was used on the house items, or am I mis-remembering that?

3. The water objects aren't despawning when clicked on. You just can't click on them again.

4. As a side note, I like how these quest objects are fitted into the forest. It feels quite naturally placed.

Lief Tenderton - The Corruption Runs Deep

1. Typo in dialogue before quest, "discouraged to create new camps in those areas" - should be "from".

2. Clicking the camps does not change their appearance or make them despawn. You can click them again, but it doesn't update again.

3. When I clicked the 4th (last) camp, then I think I saw the graphic change. Is it the pots on the top breaking? The change is visually really minor! I'd expect the whole stone slab to break in two or something.

Terit Tonhoof - Corruption Abound

1. This quest auto-completed when I killed the last animal. Should it do that, without going back to the NPC to hand it in? The other repeatable quests so far don't.

2. Comparing the repeatable quests, this one seems a good length, so does Invasive Species Removal. But Still More Mouths to Feed was a pain. It's more in depth which is nice once but not one I'd want to repeat. Not without a lot more beetles and berries all over the forest.

3. Should it be "Corruption Abounds" for the quest title? I think that's the saying.

Vadicus Entiri - Culling the Vicious

1. I really like the "tiger-striped hides" description, making you look closely at the mobs. The forest is rather dark but you can see the difference.

2. The 1^ mobs for this quest are easier than the normal ones to kill. Seems like they have less hit points, because they burn down much faster. Don't seem to do any more damage either. Certainly don't require taking a group along as the NPC suggests, and with the quest labelled heroic as well.

3. Dialgoue handing in the quest, this makes no sense: "It seems the raptors are starting to becoming out of control."

strange looking satyr relic (drop) - Rotten Tenders

1. On the item description it says level 75 for the quest.

Lief Tenderton - Withering Hope

1. Dialogue before quest - I like how you say you can't tell the withered treants apart from the forest easily until they hit you - this really has happened to me quite a few times already! They're the aggro mob you're most likely to pull when flying through the area. Yesterday I was debating feedbacking that as an issue, but I've come to like the way they blend in.

2. The withering saplings don't update the quest. Not sure if they should, the name doesn't exactly match.

Vadicus Entiri - Creating Chaos

1. No ROI for the caves.

Lief Tenderton - Ancient's Legacy

1. Hailing the ancient treant and seeing the dialogue is very difficult due to his size. Not sure there's any fix for it, but I was looking straight up vertically to see the chat text bubbles. Then I discovered I can stand on the nearby rock and still hail him - that works much better.

The message when I clicked it was "collect orders": the second part was "orders" instead of "plant" or "vegetation".

When I handed the quest out, I was a bit bothered by the dialog. I told Herka that I had found a particularly large plant creature who was "in charge" of the area and I had gathered a bit of a root. I didn't realise while in the room that there was a "very big plant" and that the root "was part of it" at all.

Edit: went back to the area and there isn't any "big plant" anywhere. It may be a named that is not up, but if it is, there definatedly should be a big plant or something on the platform, some creeping thing with the named on top, well anything but a very big empty space.

Silnas - Seeding Hope

1. I got the onscreen message about it being a good spot, then clicked the soil and got the error message for not being in the right place. It seems the area trigger for the announcement is larger than the clicky?

2. After placing the soil the next step is to obtain insect carcasses and has a counter. But the big red sparkley is stll there and the onscreen message about being a good place to dump the carcasses comes up when you enter it. Isn't this happening a step too early?

3. After getting the carcasses quest item, for the fourth step I return to the sanctuary. The red sparkle is no longer visible, though the onscreen message does come up again.

4. After using the carcasses item, the mound changes to looking healthy and had a green sparkle on it. Not convinced it should be sparkling at this point? Or if this should appear for the next step for the saplings?

5. The sapling still follows if you take off and fly back - very nice! I think previously quest following NPCs despawned doing that?

I like this quest. Saving saplings.

Brint Thornwood - Tending to the Broken

1. The broken stele fragment objects don't have a sparkle on them. Not sure if they should. They're not too hard to spot.

Meat-stripped Skull (dropped item) - Picked Clean

1. The skull item description gives the quest as level 75.

2. This quest has a "not more insects!" feel to it. And then achieves nothing for all your inspecting. But bizarrely, it's actually a rather fun way of killing some extra mobs.

Bleur Blunderbur - Creating More Chaos / More Culling the Vicious

1. These are not marked as repeatable in the quest journal, should they be? Or is it because they're labelled heroic and they can't be displayed as both?

Vadicus Entiri - Multitudinous Extermination

1. This quest is broken, can't get the large insect updates. I think they're in the wrong categories:

The assaulter and sentry insects count as small, I'd expect them to be medium. The bombast which is paired with a little mulcher doesn't update any of the categories, I'd expect it to be large. The bombast on it's own updates as medium, again I'd expect it to be large. There is nothing I can find that updates the large category. The named boss doesn't update any of them.

Brint Thornwood - Removing the Corruption

1. Typo in dialogue with Aureon: "one of the protectors of this land which has become corrupted by its evil magics" - should be "who" or "whom".

2. Another typo on Aureon: "corpse of the plants" - should be "corpses".

3. Three minutes to get back to the NPC is doable but fairly tough. You need a moment to read and comprehend the instructions. Then I took the horse up to Sanctuary of Waning. I set the waypoint on the map POI and flew tight against the edge of the ravine, shortest flight path possible. I had 40 seconds left when I clicked on him. Also it continues counting down during the animation as he's cleansed and only stops the countdown when the step updates after the animation. So that costs you another 10 seconds. If you get knocked out of flight by a mob or the dragon debuff you've probably had it.

4. Kerr respawns after a bit and you can then see him corrupted again. Not sure if you should see him here after this step? Or is he visible to all players all the time?

Kerr Wanderroot - All You Need Is Time

1. The ritual is awesome! So awesome I was going "wohoa!" and looking at it, and didn't engage the mobs attacking him! So he died. It's a little artifical having his corpse despawn then he reappears so you can try again, I don't know if they can knock him out or something less permanent?

2. I hailed him and started the ritual again. The second time, I killed the mobs, the ritual finished. Kerr sat down and got up again and reset to his position at the shelter. But the quest step hasn't updated. There's not quest continuation/completion icons over him. If I hail him, I get a repeat of the earlier dialogue "I can't thank you enough for helping me escape that insanity".

3. I tried deleting and re-taking the quest. But now the cleansing sequence won't start even once. I'm gated on this quest now.

4. Left-clicking on Kerr does not result in a hail action. Something is up, you have the target and press "h" for hail to get his dialogue up, either at the start or during this quest. The only right-click menu option on him is to Assist.

Scout Master Kilkarn - A Helping Hand

1. Initial dialogue - "Do you need help getting back on your feet." - should that have a "?" at the end?

2. Also in initial dialogue - "such as skilled adventurer such as yourself" reads a bit odd.

3. Typo in quest description - "combine" should have a capital "C".

4. Typo on scout Kiosha initial dialogue - "way to dangerous" - should be "too".

5. The quest step calls the scout "Leluh" but the name on the NPC is "Lelah".

6. Typo in the quest step for "Aide Scout__Mayak" - has a double space in it.

7. I like how the scouts tell you you're killing the wrong mob, even when you just have to kill something that's in the way!

8. Scout Lelah's quest step wants "raptor hides". It doesn't specify which raptors. The scout dialogue says lurkers or hunters. But the quest won't accept the 1^ lurkers or scourers, only the corrupted raptors. I think if you want to kill the harder ones, their hides would be just as good. And there's more of them, and much easier to find being in one place.

9. At some point I lost Scout Lelah, I don't know how! Maybe flying around. Pretty sure she didn't die.

Then I lost Scour Kiosha too, at the end of my second fight with a deer, she started running back to the caravan. I couldn't stop her. If I went into flying she despawned but when I land again she respawns and immediately starts running back again. Must have been what happened with Lelah too, they're resetting prematurely for some reason. Only thing you can do is go back to the caravan and get them again. Hope this isn't deliberate, because it's a fair distance and rather annoying!

10. Typo on scout Mayak initial dialogue "I am very week" - should be "weak".

Scout Master Kilkarn - Wheel of Misfortune

1. Quest description: "The one guy said he might have stuff for me to do" - erm, placeholder text?

2. Searching around it took me ages to find the wheel in the ROI. Was getting a bit annoyed.

3. More placeholder text in the quest summary! "I found some fun stuff to do and even got some loot." Ok own up, which of you devs is guilty this time?

4. I still have the "a repaired wagon wheel" item in my inventory after completing the quest.

Some general feedback on ROIs in WIthered Lands:

It seems the quest ROIs are all rather large in the zone, compared to previous content. My suspicion is you've pre-defined ROIs for each named mini region in the zone - like the K'val Ruins, or Queens Hive South, or Mourning Lowlands. Maybe the coders have written something to automatically generating these ROIs for you, hmm? They do hug the edges of the terrain very cleanly in each area.

But this isn't working well for me as a player. By reusing a standard ROI you're saying "it's somewhere in this region". It's creating a broader region to search than in previous zones where the ROIs were drawn to match the quest specifically. It's fine for kill quests because you can find mobs more easily. But for clicky object searches it's proving a pain in the looking for an object in such a wide area.

I'm not lazy, and I actually LIKE search quests within (my definition of) a reasonable area to cover. But these areas are too large. And the minor frustration from struggling with one quest wouldn't be so bad but it escalates as you work through the zone, and encounter the same minor frustration on successive quests. Leads to a general feeling of things taking longer than they should to find and some of the quests here being a little bit annoying. NB: I'm up to the Caravan camp quests at this point.

I realise it's probably more work, but for the quests involving searching for objects, please consider going back and drawing ROIs which are a bit tighter to where the object/s will actually be found?

I had gone to Queen's Hive South yesterday, so that's the area these findings relate to. Today all the virulid bombast seem to update the medium category. Strange.

2. The Queens' Hive South ROI is labelled for large and and medium, but I found no large there at all.

3. I went to Queens Hive North today. The conqueror's are updating the step for large insects but the hive-guardians are not.

4. I read the small, medium and large to be an indication of size. Therefore expecting the bombasts to update for large. However it seems "large" here mean "tougher, nastier" ie the 1^ harder mobs in Queens Hive North. Maybe this could be clarified in the quest step as "tougher" or something instead.

5. Now on the step to locate the voice in my head - the queen won't talk to me when I try to hail her. I get nothing, can't progress the quest. Reading up what other people have said, I never got any quest from her previously for spores like they did. I found the queen today before reaching this step but she had nothing for me. So maybe that bug is fixed, and I've got a new bug?

EDIT: *phew* insects are confusing!

6. First there is no POI for the step to locate the voice in my head step.

7. Talking to Adephala is difficult. I couldn't see a quest continuation icon on her due to her size, eventually found it was her from the feather on the map. I hailed her many times before I could get the dialogue to pop up. Trying to swing the camera up to see her and the dialogue results in swinging the camera under the terrain and looking at the ground from underneath.

NB: Yes I'm a fae so I'm small. But I protested loudly during testing at the 50% shrink you forced on us for our flight form, and now guess what, I'm struggling to talk to massive treants and insect queens. Please find a way to make this a little easier on us!

8. Ok so, during the dialogue with Adephala the next quest Good to be the Queen is offered. But I think problem is the "locate the source of the voice" step isn't being updated when you first hail her and therefore the Multi Ext quest isn't completing.

Adephala - Good to be the Queen

1. This quest has both an ROI for the Queen Hive North and individual POIs for the pod points - intended?

2. In the queen's dialogue and the quest description they're called spore pods. In the quest step, the cast bar when you click and the onscreen message however they're called scent pods.

3. The quest step says to put the pods around the TWO hive areas, but there are only 6 points in the North area, none in the South. It would make sense from the story perspective to put some more in the South area as well. When I initially looked at the map I thought "why aren't I treating the other area as well?"

4. Thank you for making it auto-complete, and not making me have to find my way back down the cave through the mobs to the queen again!

Researcher Eruin - Calming the Angry

1. After accepting the quest, if you re-hail Eruin you get the same initial dialogue again.

2. There was no onscreen message like "Your attempt to calm the holgresh did not suceed!" When I used the spell item, I got some unintelligible dialogue from the holgresh forager but nothing else. I was puzzled for a moment because there was no feedback. So I just killed it anyway and then it updated. But all the onscreen message said was the step was completed. I think it just needs another message to convey the story and result when you use the item.

Researcher Eruin - The Path to Peace

1. Continuing from handing in Calming the Angry, I got this quest offered at a dialogue point and read the description. It talks about fruit which Eruin hasn't mentioned yet. I then click through another dialogue and it's in the next section. This seems out of order.

I deleted the quest and re-hailed Eruin, as if I'd stopped here. The same thing happens. He says "are you willing to try again" and you says "sure" and then you get offered the quest before he's explained what to do. Only when you accept the quest do you get the next dialogue about the fruit. So the quest is attached one node too early in the dialogue.

2. The spell item works fine, but then hailing for the next step doesn't work on holgresh forager or skycaller NPCs. It does work ok on warrior, encanter and fireflighter NPCs though.

3. If you don't follow through and talk to the NPC, cancel the dialogue option (or just back away) then return to the NPC, you can't get the dialogue back up again by hailing them. So you have to go find another NPC to start again.

4. If you don't follow through and talk to the NPC (or can't on some NPC types) the spell effect never wears off. I've created perma-mezzed holgresh throughout the zone, and they can't be killed off!

5. If you use the spell on an encounter of holgresh, eg there's a group of encanter, warrior, fireflinger, it doesn't work well at all. You can individually mez them with the spell, but you leave one or two unmezzed and they aggro.

The free ones aggro then reset then reaggroing repearedly and you can't kill them. Then sometimes the mezzed ones try to assist and attack you momentary when the aggro one attacks, before quickly resetting again to mezzed.

All this also leaves you stuck in combat.

6. On completing the quest the popup window says Quest Description - not Summary. The text inside initially reads like the description (it's instructions of what to do) and then concludes with the outcome as well.

a wounded soldier - Effects of a Personal Kind

1. Handing in the quest, the popup window here says Description. Shouldn't it be summary?

Lieutenant Washburn - Dispatching the Elders

1. Typo in initial dialogue - "We are going to go..." should be "aren't".

2. Problems with the mobs in the cave one-shotting me, but I put that in the zone feedback thread. Not going to try to complete this for now, dying repeatedly is too painful!

Scout Master Kilkarn - Parched Scouts

1. If you stop after handing in Wheel of Misfortune, then re-hail him to get the next quest, you get a repeat of the previous dialogue when handing in that quest. This has you saying "Yes I have it here..." again, but you now don't have the wheel because you already gave it to him.

2. The barrel despawns after killing the holgresh heister that was on it. I found this a bit confusing. Normally if there's a green sparkly object you have to click on it. So after killing the mob I was like "huh? where did the barrel go? oh ok, it seems it's updated"

This is extra confusing when, due to the mobs being in little clusters, you end up fighting several at once and the heister isn't the last to die. So you're still fighting on whilst the barrel despawns.

3. No POIs for the dehydrated scouts. Ok they're right next to you, but still!

4. The dehydrated scouts switch to refreshed, and then after a few moments respawn as dehydrated again. You can then re-use one scout a second time for the quest, which doesn't make much sense for the story. Once someone has watered each scout, can you not leave him permanently as a refreshed scout for that player to see from then on?

5. Handing in the quest the popup window says description not summary again, and the text is both instructions (not in past tense) and then the result. I'm starting to doubt myself but this seems odd compared to the normal style?

Captain Haliran - Holgresh See

1. First encounter of 3 holgresh only updated as Defeat attacking holgresh 1/6. I didn't get credit for the other two mobs. Might possibly have been because the other guard came it to help too? This only happened once, after that I got all the credits for them.

2. The guards are too close together, or maybe shouldn't trigger if another already has. Because when I triggered one guard, I triggered another at the same time. Ended up with 2x groups of 3 holgresh which is probably a bit much for some classes.

3. After completing the quest step, I'm on the quest step to report back. But approaching another guard triggered another fight again.

4. Again when handing in the popup window says description not summary. Or am I going crazy now?

Captain Haliran - Holgresh Do

1. Dialogue before quest, "what we used to signal we needed help" - should be "use" and "need".

2. The dialogue is telling you to go help the fight trying to push through the pass. The quest description then tells you to hunt warpriests and stick their heads on pikes - this makes no sense at this point in the quest, it's like a spoiler for what is to come.

3. The quest has a tiny ROI for finding the caravan which looks odd because it's small, semi-transparent and faint. Maybe it should be a larger area, or if you want to pinpoint the location a POI dot would be better here.

4. There's no ROI for the warpriests or the treants.

5. After placing the fourth pike, all four of them despawned again. Also one of the green sparklies was still visible at -843.46, -667.80, -571.27.

6. The pikes look like flaming torch things, sorry for being picky but they don't have skulls on them as per the quest.

7. Completing the quest, the popup window says description again.

8. Typo in the completion text: "and to placed their heads on pikes"

Scout Master Kilkarn - Safety in Numbers

1. Holgresh foragers in the ROI aren't updating the counter, though attackers and fireflingers are.

2. I got the area trigger for being in the right place, and then used the flare item on that spot. When you use the item for the flares, the quest immediately updates and the caravan and NPCs spawn at the same time as the flare is seen going up. Can you add a delay to this? So it's a little confusing why it doens't update.

Leiutenant Silthiria - Not Quite There

1. Initial dialogue says the cart is shattered, but the graphic is a very intact looking cart.

2. Typo in quest description "Once of the caravans" - should be "One".

3. Killing marsh elementals isn't updating the first step of the quest. Seems broken.

4. Typo in the NPC name - should be "Lieutenant".

Right Place, Right Time

1. Typo in quest description - "stela" should be "stele".

2. The popup window for completing the quest says description not summary (Am I going crazy about seeing this? But other testers are saying it should be summary at the end too.)

Elder Kionn - Spell Flingers

1. The quest doesn't tell you to get the books from the fireflingers, and the other holgresh don't update the quest. The quest title only hints at the fireflingers being involved.

2. Sometimes you kill a fireflinger and the quest step flashes in the tracker but you don't get an update. If it's not given on every mob, then normally you'd get an onscreen message saying "no items found", but there isn't one. This is a bit confusing.

3. I'm in the pass for this quest, and the water barrels have the green sparkly on them again. This makes no sense, I already completed and turned in the quest to get those. Don't know if it's linked to this quest or not, but I didn't notice it happening when here earlier.

Elder Kionn - Alligator Skin Bag

1. The dialogue with Caleuh says "swamps stalkers" (typo?) to cut their numbers (initial and at end), The quest text (begining and end) says alligators for their teeth - these don't match.

2. The actual mobs are called marsh stalkers - which matches neither the quest step text or the dialogue with Caleuh.

3. Handing in the popup window says quest description not summary again.

Queen Caleuh - Weakened Budling

1. Typo in dialogue before quest: "When Is aw them i nthe swamp" - should be "I saw".

2. This quest and some of the previous ones, it feels the quest window pops up to accept it too early in the dialogue. The NPC doesn't continue explaining what to do until after you've accepted it. So you read the description of what the NPC said (past tense) in the quest window prior to the NPC actually having said it. This just feels wrong and out of order. Moving the quest window popping up to the subsequent dialogue node would probably fix a lot of them.

3. The quest step doesn't give any instructions on how to save them, but Caleuh said I'm supposed to bring them back. This is a bit confusing. It doesn't feel right to attack them (though I did and worked it out from what happened). There needs to be explicit instructions to weaken them first so they'll follow you.

4. The dialogue with Caleuh talks about how they're in groups and you can't save them all, and you'll end up killing some. But the NPCs aren't in encounters, they're single. So this doesn't match. I didn't kill any.

5. Awesome! The corrupted silfaye fly after you when you fly back! I love that.

Queen Caleuh - A Stone's Throw

1. In the dialogue before the quest, this doesn't read very well "If you can get them from them and bring them to me".

2. The ROI for this quest isn't very helpful, covering the whole swamp when the stonehorders are in a few places on the side.

3. Killing the corrupted stonehorders doens't update the quest. Doesn't even make the step flash in the quest tracker so it's not just that it doesn't update on every mob. Quest seems to be broken.

Surveyor Gredaina - From Under Our Noses

1. Returning to Gredania to hand in the quest, she doesn't have a quest completion icon over her.

Captain Val'kirr - No Word From Above

1. Ta'lur talks about "this orb" being damaged, as if it should be right in front of him. But I don't see anything that looks like a communication orb on the platform with him.

Emissary Ta'lur - Unexpected Weather

1. Typo in dialogue before quest: "we can afford to lose anyone" - should be "can't".

2. The quest description says he's asked me to rescue the farmers, and it's one of the steps. But this wasn't anywhere in the dialogue.

3. It would be nice if the four farmers didn't all say exactly the same thing when hailed, and your response too. Sometimes in these quests you get a couple of different responses.

4. There aren't many storm elementals, only 10 across the two areas? The quest requires 8. I was the only person here and cleared out one area, then moved to the other. When I was done only 1 had respawned in the first area.

Emissary Ta'lur - Plan of Action

1. Typo in dialogue before quest "energy we can use to power the orb," - ends in a comma not a full stop (and I've forgotten what you Americans call that?)

2. There are cloud progenitor clickies in the area with the storm elementals close to Alivan, but this isn't covered by the ROI.

3. The priest quest reward is Mist Panther Skin Cap. This has lower stats than the Corrupted Mist Panther Skin Cap I got from a quest near the start of the zone. It makes sense to replace a corrupted one, so maybe the stats are the wrong way around?

Overseer Vrek - Pay For Their Crime

1. The reward for this is 090_871_priest_primary_1h_crush_2. But I already have this weapon from somewhere else in Withered Lands - a previous quest I think.

2. Having trouble with these mobs again, like the elders they're destroying me with Totemic Decimation. And this is marked as a solo quest, not heroic.

Keeper Orlis - Scattered to the Wind

1. There aren't very many pages, when you need 8 of them. I cleared out both areas and then was going back and waiting for respawns.

2. Typos in the book The Founding of AlivanPage 1: "The time I spent working.... have shown me" - should be "has"Page 1: "Calws of Vesheen" at the bottomThere's a mix of whether the class name is capitalized or not on each page.

3. I do like the book text. Especially the rogue calling him "Kerawhatzit"!

a strange seed (clicky object) - Salvage Mission

1.
Captain Val'Kirr - The Call Home

1. In the quest summary on completion, it calls it a brief conversation. I wouldn't call it brief! That's underrating it.

2. The dialogue with Nevedaria is great, well written. Explains the source of the corruption and Vyskudra. Though it doesn't address whether the corruption can be lifted. I could understand her saying no, but you don't even ask. I don't think after coming so far you'd just express surprise and then let it go.

All the way through Withered Lands that's been the objective in many of the quests. It's even in the patch notes to describe the GU: "Save the forest from corruption, aid the armies of Norrath in reaching Skyshrine, explore the intrigues of dragon kind and save their embattled city!" So we're on two missions - to get the New Combine through to Skyshrine and to fight the corruption.

3. The dialogue has you saying you "helped to drive back the corruption" - which is accurate, we haven't removed it. But then Nevedaria says "You cleared the forest barrier??" - which to me makes it sound like we got rid of it all.

Surveyor Gredaina - Still Under Our Noses

1. Like the first version of this quest, there's no quest completion icon on Gredaina when you return to hand the quest in.

Toiler Killrey - Out of Our Cold, Dead...

Ok there is an ROI, I guess I couldn't see it under the swamp ROI for other stuff. My mistake earlier.

3. Should Thunderlash give AA xp? He's not very tough but is a named creature.

4. Returning to Killrey you go through the dialogue, but the quest doesn't update and complete. The dialogue just runs out.

Researcher Coroy - Some (More) for Study

Didn't find any glitches, but I like the tone in the dialogue with this NPC.
Commander Selgrat - No One Left Behind

2. The dialogue on the Combines Soldiers has the signature style appearance with a green background. But this isn't a signature quest.

3. Your reply to the soldiers is grammatically incorrect and reads oddly: "You need to make your way back to Alivan. She is expecting you". That makes Alivan a "she". Should be "The commander is expecting you".

4. As mentioned above, the soldiers don't update for me either after the dialogue with them. Quest is broken.

Researcher Wedinn -Repellant

1. In the dialogue before the quest you say "All right, I'm listening. Found some sprout objects, which have the mouseover popup but nothing happens when you click it. Can't progress the quest.

Devotee Zaak'an - Beacon of Hope

1. Typo in dialogue before quest: "There is a small nook in teh valley"

2. The rock for placing the beacon doesn't have a sparkly effect on it. There is a precise POI, but probably should have a visual aid.

3.The green glow on the placed beacon switches on and off very sharply when you rotate your camera or move around the area.

4. The sabatogers that spawn are fine, don't seem to have the nasty one-shotting Totemic Destruction on them.

5. Killing the mobs that spawn when you place the beacon did not update the quest. Can't progress it.

5. Typo in the quest step and on the NPC names: "sabatoger" should be "sabotager".

Devotee Sa'kala - Ritual Sacrifice

1. In the dialogue and the quest text it's called Valley of Dragon Bones. But on the map the region is called Valley of the Fallen (which frankly sounds much nicer!) This is potentially confusing.

2. Not getting fetishes from despoilers, savagists, soothseer, luminary, skyrender. Looks like they're just not dropping.

EDIT:

3. They are dropping from the elder holgresh in the caves. This doesn't seem right, the quest is about the holgresh in the Valley of the Fallen.

I managed to get 3/12 before I got one-shotted by Totemic Destruction again /sigh.

Overseer Vrek - Pay (Dearly) For Their Crime

3. Returning to Vrek, there's no quest completion icon on him, for either of the quests.

4. Why is this guy upset about disturbing the remains of both dragons? Rolandal was one of the Claws of Vesheen and to be mourned, but if Hechaeva was a child of Vyskudra and aligned with the Awakened, then s/he was an enemy.

5. The dialogue implies the second quest is repeatable, but it's not being offered again after completing it once. Is this because it's once per day? I know in DoV beta the repeatable quests didn't have the time delay set, so maybe it was taken off the other repeatable quests in Withered Lands for testing but not this one? Just making guesses here.

6. The second quest isn't marked as repeatable, but it implies it is.

Orienteering Badge

(Thanks Whil for getting me started on this one!)

1. The ROI is totally misleading because it directs you to search the area outside the south hive. This quest is weird, you don't actually place the effigies yourself. I expected the usual mechanic of a sparkly spot on the ground, click it, and then the object appears and the quest counter updates. Instead its a proximity update, and it does it for you. At first I thought it had bugged out or something.

2. There is also no visual indication on the ground of where to go to place them.
Quest: A Voice in the Forest. There is needless confusion here because the quest wants you to talk to Silnis (with an I) at the Sanctuary of Mourning and everybody (including me) tries to talk to Silnas (with an A) at the Sanctuary of Waning. Silnis is nowhere to be found at the Sanctuary of Mourning. Making two NPCs with nearly identical names is really sloppy.

Quest: The Ultimate Sacrifice. Can't enter the instance (I presume it's an instance). Client stalls at 'Waiting for Zone Server.' If I disconnect and come back in, I'm still in the Withering Lands. This is different from every other case of this stall that I have seen in that zoning did not happen. When I log back in, I get the error message "That zone is currently unavailable." There is a variable delay before the message appears. In one case it posted to the chat window almost immediately after logging in. In another case, it didn't appear for almost a minute. Very odd.

Keep in mind that on Test_Copy, there's tons of players around. I was never able on Test to cross the Holgresh canyon without getting aggroed 3 or 4 times. Yes, TSers can fly BUT the "skies are not safe" so they may die because of flying too. I always liked the quest in Fens for the caches, but there are only a couple of points where you really have to dodge mobs, there's a lot of safe ways. In Withered Lands it's not the same and I think crossing the whole zone is a fair bit too much.

Researcher Dreldin - The Second You Observe Something

1. Typo in dialogue before quest: "To run most effectively, They..." (shouldn't be capitalised)

2. The quest only says to release the beetle, the item says in the right area. Nowhere does it tell you to target an insect mob and then use the item - this is unintuitive.
Researcher Verisa - Strange Movitations

1. Typo in quest description: "She wants to know ... " is missing "is" out of the sentence.

2. Took me ages to find the body for the "other evidence" in the 2nd step. The sparkley effect on it is too small to be seen, at first I thought it didn't have one. After I spotted it, when I went right up to click it, then I could just see the sparkle.

3. The 2nd quest step does indeed have placeholder text again.

4.
Researcher Deros - A Storm of Corruption

1. Typo in dialogue before quest: "one of the silfaye are in need of help" - should be "is in need".

2. This is another case of the quest being offered too early in the dialogue. It's been happening a lot in WIthered Lands. You get the quest description to read before the NPC has finished telling you about it.

3. Also this NPC doesn't tell you what the silfaye wants, you don't find out until you go to her. So putting it all in the quest description rather ruins the discovery of the story, as it plays out. The quest description really doesn't need any more than "a silfaye needs help investigating the strange weather" as a lead in.

4. Typo in dialogue on Lopa: "If you don't want to share details" - should be "the details".

5. Typo in 3rd quest step once updated: "Sactuary".

6. The weather changes and spell are very cool. The shout from Vyskudra might be missed, would be useful to have it in an onscreen message as well. I don't remember seeing one.

7. It's a bit odd that the silfaye doesn't say anything about what happened you after the dragon and the storm returning. There's nothing, not even if you re-hail her.

8. Typos in the quest summary on completion:It's in the wrong tense. "A silfaye has stated" and "She has asked" - should remove the "has" from these. Then "With this device believed he would be able" - "she believed SHE would be able" perhaps?"his druziac magic" - "her"

9. Love the dialogue option "You enjoy that, I am off to go check out that dragon!" haha.

10. This is a really great quest. But if you've done the end of the main quest line first (like I did) it doesn't make sense. For me, Nevedaria has already dealt with Vyskudra and so starting this quest and having the perma-rain start up is like going back in time.

Also it's confusing if you already know about Vyskudra, because the silfaye isn't quite right - she's not a dragon of Skyshrine. And the storm is not linked to the corruption. And by the time I did this quest, I already know this.

Could you add this quest into the chain for the main line? I know it's on a Deepwater Cirlce guy, but still? Make it so you have to do this one first, somewhere before completing the final quest with Nevedaria. It's a good quest! No reason not to do it.

11. OMG... am I perma-cursed with this storm?? It's not going away after I finished the quest. And if it goes when you talk to Nevedaria - well yeah I already did that.

Plan of Action

I remember when I did this, I wasn't really sure what "storm cloud progenitors" were. Didn't know what I was looking for, a mob or object or what. I happened to stumble over the ground clickies. Now someone in game just asked about them, he didn't know what he was looking for either. So it's not just me. Something in the dialogue and repeated in the quest step to explain it better would help.

Researcher Verisa - Strange Movitations

Typo in quest summary upon completion: "overthrow or enslave the trip from Holgresh Pass" - should be "tribe".

Researcher Dreldin - The Second You Observe Something

1. Typo in quest description, calls the NPC "Deldin".

2. Could use an onscreen message or some other way of explaining what's happening from the story perspective. You spawn the freed beetle and it attacks you, but nothing to say why or what you're supposed to do next. Something like "the beetle turns on you!" instead of it just happening. Because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be fighting it or luring it to the other beetles or what. I killed it, then the step updates, so then you think "oh ok, guess that was right then".

3. Same typo in quest summary on completion, calls the NPC "Deldin".

4. The "a captured teralid" item is not removed from your inventory - should probably be after completing the step to kill it, but I've handed in the quest and still have it.

Armsmaster Veyx - Some Good From This

1. The "virulid acid" item description says in the Hive of the Queen. But the quest happens in the Hive of the Rogue.

2. Veyx is not recognising you're on the second step when you return to him. No quest completion icon on him, and on hailing you get dialogue implying you've not gotten the materials yet.

Commander Selgrat - No One Left Behind

The quest counter updates and the soldier starts running off after you click the option on his first dialogue node. But there's a subsequent dialogue node with more text to read and another option to click. I didn't have time to read it or click it. I think the update is firing a step too early in the dialogue.

Devotee Zaak'an - Beacon of Hope

Quest description says "from Tunare's Tears" - the swamp is properly called "Tears of Tunare". Might be better if they matched.

Researcher Wedinn - Repellant

Before the patch there were sprout objects around the swamp but you couldn't click on them. There were plenty around though. Now I can't see any sprout objects, anywhere in the swamp.

Handler Shirsha - I Want All Of Them!

1. The wolf pups don't have quest continuation icons on them. Not sure if they should.

2. You get one pup, take it back and the counter updates. The dialogue on Shirsha says "I see you have some friends with you" - should be "a friend" since you're only bringing one pup at a time.

3. Next dialogue node, same thing. She says "You're safe now, little ones" - should be "little one" singular.

4. It would be nice if the pups you brought back spawned behind her so you could see them - from both the first quest and this one. Maybe they should be doing this, but there's nothing.

5. The second quest step says to take the pups back, but I already did.

6. Shirsha isn't recognising the second quest step. No quest completion icon on her, and no new dialogue. Cannot hand in the quest.

A Timeless Instrument (crafting quest). I sort of skimmed through a couple threads - didn't see it so:

I'm supposed to craft some daggers for Phaerus. I got the quest on 2 of my toons - popped one on the horse to go back to starting area to use the crafting stations - other just stood at Phaerus, afk. While I was on the horse, I went afk and started dinner. About 20-30 minutes later I got back to the computer and find both toons have the step to make the daggers completed and I am to return to Phaenus with them. One never left so it was just a hail for her to get Essentials 92 - the other had to ride all the way back to get hers.

So, you have some gremlin somewhere making daggers and sticking them in afk'ers bags. I love these kind of quests!

Edit: Okay, apparently I have gremlins. My partner just said I probably got updates when he made the daggers. When you kill a mob whilst Kiosha is following you, she gives the same dialogue about "that's a nice kill but we need fawns" - which is from the quest back at the caravan outpost.

5.
a strange spirit - Whispers in the Swamp

1. Took a few seconds for the quest step to complete when I returned with the spirit pieces.

2. Took even longer to get the unstable spirit to spawn. I was moving around, don't know if that helped.

3. When the unstable spirit spawns, the strange spirit doesn't despawn. It's still there, hailable and repeats the same dialogue from the previous step.

4. When the rejuvenated spirit spawns, again the strange spirit is still there.

5. The dialogue on the rejuvenated spirit says "I have diminished" - shouldn't it be the opposite? It's been made whole and grown in size, not shrunk.

6. Again a good few seconds delay in the last quest step updating and the quest completing, after going through the dialogue on the rejuvenated spirit.

7. The quest summary text says "a whirling mass of unstable spiritual energy ... which caused the energy to collapse into a larger ball of spiritual energy." The unstable NPC is actually kinda small, and not as impressive as this description makes it sound. Also if the unstable is supposed to collapse into the rejuvenated, the sizes are wrong because the rejuvenated is the largest. This suggests the unstable NPC needs to be scaled up to be much, much bigger, 2x or 3x it's current size. Then what you see would fit the story being told.

The delay in the updates on this quest is weird. I'm not seeing general lag, or having trouble with other quests in Withered Lands this evening. Is it possible to have delay associated with a particular NPC script? Curious fae is curious.

The Ultimate Sacrifice

1. I still think this quest needs to be given by Elder Kionn immediately after the preceding quest, not only after you zone in. People are going to miss it, and the whole ending of this story!

2. Typo early in Kionn's dialogue: "the corruption that has plagued these lands have grown well beyond our normal control" - should be "has grown".

3. This is too much text! All four elders' replies come up at once, then all disappear at once. You can't read it all in time, and the chat bubbles overlap blocking each other until you get your camera angle right. I'd suggest either getting rid of two of the replies, or staggering them to come up in sequence.

4. The onscreen message about the soul being absorbed is late coming up each time.

5. The delay after each sacrifice is definitely too long, the elders just idle. It drags the whole thing out and looses the impact somewhat. People are going to be watching this thinking "yeah yeah, get on with it. just kill yourself already..." Especially since after the first one you know the rest are going to do exactly the same.

6. Piunt doesn't say anything before stabbing himself.

7. All the elders are using an idle animation which has them yawning. Really not appropriate behaviour for the seriousness of the ritual!

8. There's no clue how to get out of the zone. Ok I guessed it was the ritual stone again. But perhaps something in the second quest step, to avoid spoiling the final dialogue?

9. There should be totems around the ritual area, as per the tradeskill quest. Otherwise why did I bother making them? Plus they look cool, and could easily be added to this instance irrespective of whether they're placed in the Withered Lands zone yet, right?

10. Again the option to leave the ritual not the default on the ritual stone. Like when you click to enter, this is not intuitive! Please make them the default actions, I don't see how the examine action really adds anything at all.

Silnas - The Recollection of Events

1. No ROI for the swamp for the first quest step.

2. Silnas says they are herbs, which look a bit like reeds. The quest step says to collect herbs. Ok, but the objects are called "withered reed plant" - which to me makes them actually reeds and not herbs at all.

3. No POI for SIlnas at the ritual spot for the second quest step.

4. No quest continuation icon on Silnas for the second quest step.

5. The second quest step says to return the herbs to Silnas, I expected this to update before clicking on the fire. There isn't actually any quest step related to starting the ritual.

6. The clicky area for the fire isn't centered over the graphic for the fire pit. It's not easy to click on. Wouldn't hurt to stick a red sparkly on it either because the fire doesn't really look like an object.

7. The light explosion effect is centered on the same spot as the clicky area - that is to say it's not centered over the fire pit either.

8. This sentence of Kionn's dialogue doesn't quite make sense, needs rephrasing: "The transition will not be swift as this corruption took a long time to manifest as will it take to dissipate."

9. No quest continuation icon on Silnas after the ritual, when on the step to talk to him.

10. Typos in quest summary, it's not in past tense: "Silnas has said ..." should be "Silnas said" and "he plans to use" should be something like "he planned to use".

11. The wither reed plant items are not removed from your inventory when clicking on the fire pit, or after completing the quest.

No, it's the matron that spawns nears the cliff when you kill the youngsters.

Thunderclash is a ground spawn in the water and triggers when you walk on the spot, so if you come by air, it's not there.

Tracker Morin - Manpower Mishap

1. Kiosha updates ok for the first quest step now.

2. For the second quest step, no POI for Tracker Morin.

3. The health regen on them is really low though maybe because of the additional crit chance?

Tracker Morin - The Combine Wants YOU!

1. The dialogue and quest description ask you to map the swamp. Morin talks about "if we need to cross it". The first quest step says "within the Tears of Tunare". Sounds great but none of this matches the locations for the updates, which aren't in the swamp at all. They are west of the swamp in the Hive of the Rogue and the Valley of the Fallen.

2. No POI to return to Morin for the second quest step.

Tracker Morin - Gator Aide

1. Typo in dialogue before quest: "I don't have much else that needs done" - should be "needs doing".

2. No POI for returning to Morin for the second quest step.

3. Quest decription at the end, first sentence doesn't make sense: "Tracker Morin asked that since they now have a good map of the swamp they might be able to attempt a crossing soon." Probably should be "Tracker Morin said ..."

I hailed him and started the ritual again. The second time, I killed the mobs, the ritual finished. Kerr sat down and got up again and reset to his position at the shelter. But the quest step hasn't updated. There's not quest continuation/completion icons over him.
I Want All of Them! - The intro dialogue to this seems a bit disjointed. You ask Shirsha, "Are you looking for more of the lost pups?" and he responds with "Great!".

Invasive Species - the scout reward, Dagger of Withering Hopes, is marked as a spear.

Withered Lands Fossils (collection) - There is an item in the collection called "A Tigerapter Skull"... this should be "A Tigeraptor Skull" (with an o, not an e). http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/s...h.shtml?id=5572

I Want All of Them! - I popped out my mercenary in the New Combine Foothold just before returning to Shirsha and my pup disappeared.

They Won't Need It Anymore - I can't find the update for "evidence regarding the corrupted wolves and their handlers" anywhere inside or outside of the ruins. I've been all over multiple times and am stumped on this step.

Many Mouths to Feed - The longberry bushes are very hard to see, can you up the sparkle a bit on these or tweak their color some? They really blend in with the ground.

Need More Information - Two minor issues with this quest. After accepting the quest I saw I was still able to click the plant I got the quest from (at -3235, -756, -287), and it popped out a plant to kill. After I killed it I did not get credit for the seedling update. The other 8 spots I found gave me credit. The second issue is that the turn-in ROI is showing the wrong location.. it's close, but not quite right.

Need More Information - The turn-in dialogue for Researcher Alleng has a typo on this line: "There are few who know as much as I do about the plants, and I have the best chance of finding whatever clus lie within those seedlings." The word clus should be clues.

Has anyone else gotten it?

Lost in the Woods - It seemed odd that the wagon disappeared as soon as I was finished speaking to Blaera. It staying around at least until you turn-in the quest might make a bit more sense.

Porto Bunglefoot - I still see his quest feather much further away than I should. (currently seeing it at Sanctuary of Waning so I'm assuming this never got fixed from when it was originally reported a couple of weeks ago)

Withered Lands Essences (collection) - I was ready to bug report an anomoly in the air... then found out what it really was. Kudos, that was awesome.

The Voice in the Forest - There's no ROI for Silnas or the Sanctuary of Waning.

Seedling Hope - I took a couple steps toward the east of Silnas just after accepting this quest and got a message that it looked like a good place to dump the soil. Shouldn't I gather the soil before getting this message? Also the ROI includes the Sanctuary of Waning.. I'm not seeing any corrupted satyrs in there.

Misplaced Quest Feather? - There's a quest feather (on the map) at /way -2279.30, -672.74, -175.82 where the zone travel horse for Sanctuary of Waning is at. I don't know if that's an actual quest giver below the ground there or what but seeing a feather is making me twitchy.

Culling the Viscious - "a withertalon scourer" updated this quest but "a withertalon alpha" and "a brooding withertalon" (must be the emo version?) did not. All three are the same level/con. The only difference I see is that the scourers I found are inside a cave (which isn't in the ROI region for the quest) and the others are not. edit: Just tried an alpha inside the cave and it didn't update, so basically only scourers are.

More Culling the Viscious - Just picked this up. I think the issue with this, and Culling the Viscious, is that the only description is "raptors with tiger striped hides" (striped is typoed as stripped, by the way). That describes every raptor. If only the scourers update this step then the quest should be more specific.

Little Lost Raptor - The mother raptor ran off before I accepted the quest, which does not give sufficient time to read the paragraph on the quest acceptance screen if you want to be able to follow her. Please don't have her move until the quest is accepted--some of us like to read what we're doing. Why would we trust a raptor anyways? It'd be nice to have to option to kill it immediately instead of allowing it to get to its destination. Anyways, I made sure to examine and slaughter every last egg after that.

Little Lost Raptor (again) - This quest shouldn't be repeatable... you're insulting our actual intelligence to insinuate that we would be foolish enough to fall for this more than once. It should probably be marked as Heroic as well. edit: Looking through my screenshots, I also noticed that if there are hatchlings there when the nest resets, the hatchlings do not despawn. This caused my AoE to grab even more than just the ambushers.

Picked Clean - teralid hive-guardians do not update this quest

Multitudinous Extermination/Good to be the Queen/Adephala - PLEASE make Adephala stop moving so quickly.. it's making it so hard to read and click on the dialogue boxes! (and a laugh to the quest being named "Good to be the Queen") edit: after going through this full dialogue it took a REALLY long time because I absolutely could not click on the correct box when she was facing me due to how much it was bouncing around. I also had to stare at the ground and read the dialogue text there because the box movements were making me naseous. I've never had this happen before on this game if that's any indication as to how bad it is.

Seedling Hope - Please make it so we can leash 3 withering saplings before having to return.

On my coercer I had a corrupted tender as a pet. Every once in a while the tender gets stuck in a casting loop. It looks like it is trying to cast a spell on me. From the graphics it appears to be one of the damage spells, so guessing he doesn't want to be my pet? LOL

Also, the corrupted tender is KOS to the New Combine Foothold guards. If I have a corrupted animal as a pet they are not KOS to the guards. Is this intended? Not complaining - it's a risk that I take when making a pet, but wanted to make sure its what is supposed to happen.

Many Mouths to Feed bushes are too dark against the colors of the ground, trees and bushes. The only way I was able to find them was to turn my graphics way down, so nothing showed but the trees, bushes and mobs. Perhaps put a few light branches in the bushes so they stand out and/or sparkles? This was already mentioned, but wanted to add that I tried different settings to see if it helped which it didn't.

Little Lost Raptor: When the mother gets to the nest it takes too long for the ambush. I almost left thinking the quest was broken. Edit: I found the matron up again on her nest with a feather over her, but couldn't take the quest again. Is it supposed to be repeatable? If so, it wouldn't let me take the quest again.

Culling the Vicious: In the blue area on the map the only raptors I could find were many withertalon lurkers and one lone withertalon hunter even using track. None of these updated the quest, but I didn't expect them to as they had spots not stripes. If the update mobs aren't in this section, it shouldnt be colored blue.

Finally - Is there a reason to do the repeatables over and over for anything other than coin? i.e. title, reward? I didn't see any faction hits, so wasn't sure if this was just to get money or if there is something else.

ok that's all for tonight.

Tending to the Broken - Are the broken stele fragment debris clumps supposed to be pitch black in color or is there an art issue there? Also, when returning the fragments the Remnant of Growth mediums don't say anything... it'd be nice if they acknowledge that you brought the fragments back somehow.

Removing the Corruption - Swashbucklers and Brigands need a throwing weapon reward choice for this quest. A bow is useless to me. We went through this with Great Divide and Eastern Wastes for months, please don't do this again.

All You Need is Time - I failed this the first time (got distracted taking a couple of screenshots, it was too cool!) and when I restarted it I told Kerr "I am ready, nothing shall harm you!" then got a narrative message that "Kerr Wanderroot could not be found." However, it did progress fine, Kerr did and said what he should, that message was simply out of place there.

Good to be the Queen - The ROIs for the scent pods are not disappearing for the ones you've already placed. edit: Just finished this quest. As it auto-completed, I'm very confused as to why I bothered with it. The insects are just as aggressive as before and you're just left shrugging your shoulders wondering where to go next.

Right Place, Right Time - I recall, I believe Soresha?, mentioning a while back that the dialogues for this quest were going by too quickly. It seems that they have been slowed down some, but it still is a bit fast paced, especially when the two concerned satyrs are talking almost right over each other.

What They Can't See - asks you to kill "stormwings" near Alivan but gives a ROI out in the closer tears area. Killing Stormwing invaders out there does not update the quest. Only stormwing watchers seems to be updating the quest; either the invaders need to be added as giving updates or the quest text needs to be corrected to mention only watchers.

The Lands Above - I hailed Rennik again after accepting the quest and he went through the entire quest dialogue a second time. Also the same issues as Soresha: I cannot hand in this quest and Vishra has no book for a toon that's already done Vishra's other quests. Had no issue turning it in on a char who hadn't been to Withered Lands before.

A Helping Hand - Our characters tells Kilkarn that Vishra sent us to find the caravan, but I never got a quest to do so. I basically stumbled upon the caravan area by chance. Is there supposed to be a hand-off quest?

A Helping Hand - I assisted Scout Kiosha first; while getting Kiosha's updates, Scout Leluh's raptor hide line was flashing like I had gotten a "you have not found any quest items" update. I did try killing a raptor and it did not update with Kiosha with me, so the quest tracker is just confused (Kiosha's deer updated fine as well).

A Helping Hand - "a corrupted mist panther" that I killed that was stationary on a rock at /way -1843, -579, -1205 did not update this quest. The roaming ones did update it.

A Helping Hand - All of the "a withertalon scourer" in and outside of the cave around /way -2204, -598, -615 was not updating Leluh's step.

Wheel of Misfortune - The quest name made me think "Wheel of Morality, turn turn turn!"... On a more serious note, the description in the New Quest box says "The one guy said he might have stuff for me to do." When I turned in the quest the Repaired Wagon Wheel was not removed from my inventory.

Orienteering Badge - When I handed in this quest I got a double turn-in sound. Not sure if that was something on my end or not but I've never heard that happen before. Nevermind, it seems I'm having some lag on my end today.

The Path to Peace - I cannot speak with the holgresh (the only thing it says is "[Grunts and snorts]" when I first calm it, otherwise no response) and I have no fruit in my inventory nor is there a right-click menu option to give the holgresh fruit.

Spell Flingers and Effects of a Personal Kind - Neither quest has the "You did not find any quest items." message when you don't get an auto-update.

Holgresh See - For being vv mobs these attackers have a LOT of health. *splat* Closest revive place is the Waning Sanctuary?
Safety in Numbers - It appears that only holgresh attackers update this quest, yet the quest asks for any holgresh along the path. This should probably be updated to state just holgresh attackers along the path. A lot of attackers are sunken into the ground as well.
For the handler Shirsha quests, I got myself killed which solved the problem too (not really a good fix hehe).
Heya folks! Sorry that I've been quiet. There's a lot going on around here, so I've been pulled in a bunch of different directions, but I have been reading your feedback here, and making fixes.

So for Shirsha's quests, the pups should now disappear appropriately. The only issue I'm not sure on is them poofing when you pop another pet - I'll have to look into that one. I'll also make sure that they aren't attacking things - I thought I had that fixed, but it's still happening, so I must have missed something.

I somehow missed the feedback on Whispers in the Swamp, so I'll get to those today. I'll also try to get all of those "Heroic" quests marked appropriately.

Oh, and for They Won't Need It Anymore - I finally got that fixed, but here's the issue: the quest had to be changed to accomidate the Wolfmaster spawning appropriately. The quest will now need to be completed in order, rather than having all of the steps available from the start. I added a new ROI to the step for the Wolfmaster, too, so you get pointed right to where he is rather than have to search for him. Since he caused me so much grief, I'm happy to let you guys kill him as easily as possible (he's a jerk).

I also fixed up the wounded stormwing quests in the Tears of Tunare, especially No Mercy Here. Check them out if you haven't yet.

Oh, Invaders should count toward the kill requirement in What They Can't See... now.

IF there's anything left you're still concerned about regarding quests, let me know here or in PM. I'll look at it or have the appropriate designer take a look at it.

Thanks again, guys!! You were a tremendous help in this testing cycle, and I appreciate all that you did. You guys rock.

So we hail Phaerus and were asked to place the totems. We couldn't has we didn't have all 4 and what partner placed, totems 1 and 2, didnt update me and to solve the issue, partner crafted 2 more totems and I had to delete and redo the quest. Another issue is that there is a delay of up to 10 minutes, to place the totems after someone else did.

I did it yesterday, was prepared to do the same feedback and then it updated. You need to be right below her to get the update (aka, what she did on first step some time ago, if you could change her radius a bit pretty please?)

(thanks for the updates Cronyn!)

Random question: There doesn't seem to be any writs in Withered lands (and the TS writs were missing too last I looked).
Unexpected Weather - There's exactly the number of storm elementals in the area that are required for *one* person to do this quest. Now it has a more appropriate description.

Unexpected Weather - There's exactly the number of storm elementals in the area that are required for *one* person to do this quest. I checked after finishing and the first ones still hadn't respawned. Either the amount of storm elementals required needs dropped (to maybe 3 or 4) or they need to respawn a bit faster.

Addressed this. Lowered the kill count to 5, and reduced spawn timers on the elementals.

Plan of Action - Is the ROI on the farm fields wrong? I don't see any storm cloud progenitors there. I finally found one out in the Tears, which is also marked by an ROI for this. Not sure why we're given the rod either since it isn't actually clicked on and wastes inventory space during the quest.

No, that is correct.
