I am a Silver player, and I thought it would be a good idea to buy some broker tokens so I could keep a slow/steady income to purchase spell upgrades. I think I read somewhere that you can have 5g per level, so at level 30 I should be able to have 150 gold, or 1P50g. Based on that, I bought about 60 broker tokens and set up shop at level 30.

Unfortunately, that isn't what's happening. The first few sales worked as you would expect, then I started losing major chunks of my sales income. The last time I looked, I had 6g on my character, sold 17g worth of items in broker, but when I tried to pick up the coin I only "earned" 2 silver in transactions. I don't think there's any broker fee that would eat up 99.88% of my sales.

So, I pulled all my items off the market until I could figure out what's up.

So... What's up? I am buying tokens, so I can't imagine that SOE would not allow me to earn coins up to my limit on an ongoing basis. After all, I will continue to buy broker tokens on an ongoing basis. I thought maybe I lost the coin due to having too much gold on me at the time of the sale, but I have never had more than about 22g on this character. Ever.

Is there a bug of some sort? Or do I just not understand the limitations of Silver status?

I don't know what is causing your issue... but when I was ftp I earned more than I could carry via the broker, the coin just sat on the broker until I spent enough gold to carry more or leveled. I didn't lose any coin from earning more than I could carry.

When you go to the broker it will display in chat the sales since the last time you visited, but you have to view the container(s) that your items are in and collect the coin from the sales. Broker fees should not exceed 20%, it has nothing to do with FTP just that you have to buy tokens to put items on the broker.

Ah ha!.... You need to 'pick up coin' from each separate sales container. You haven't 'lost' a thing.

As the post above me has stated, make sure you collect your sales from each crate window, not just the one that's highlighted.

Ha. Now you know why I posted this in the New Player forum.

Sure as anything, one of my bags had 30g sitting on it. I had no idea each one was separate. So now I am off to the Broker to buy some spell upgrades and turn my items back on for sale.

Thanks to everyone who answered! I appreciate the help.
