View Full Version : Suddenly a loss of interact-ability (no clicky, no worky)

I am starting to feel like the bug queen.But was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this:You're in game, and you zone, or log in, and 1-9 chat is chugging away merrily, but you're unable to click on anything or interact with broker boards, NPCs, even zone again. Nothing is clickable, yet the game seems to be functioning and you're not LD.The only solution is to reboot from launchpad, because it won't even let you camp out.This started happening to me about three weeks ago, but sporadically like the wisps over the NPC's heads replacing the red books and feathers.Am I the only one experiencing this?

Tis a bug that 'bugs me' (huh huh) rarely enough I never cared.

I'd suggest you vaildate game assets in the launcher, also have you recently installed new mouse software? it may be causing it or your drivers may need updating to the latest version.

Hrm, I might just wipe everything and reinstall fresh given the various issues I've been running into lately -- and appears I'm alone pretty much on this particular issue. No new mouse software or anything like that ... just periodic bouts of non-functionality.And Deago .. lol I clicked the link and saw the title of the video -- thank god for advertising before it launched ... I immediately went EEP and x'd out. Creepy crawlies = me screeching. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I occassionally have this happen to me - every time I press something on the hotbar it puts it into chat.For me it usually occurs when I've gotten frustrated with viewing items on the broker (I've been pressing shift or control heaps). Anyway, when you press Shift 3 times in a row, Windows will enable sticky keys. If you think that this is what is happening to you, I'd look it up on the internet <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I think that if you press it 3 times again it will give you an option to turn it off, but don't hold me to that. I'd much rather you looked it up for your system than take my word for it.

Maybe a bit more info about the mouse might help. Wireless? check batteries. USB? try a different port. PS/2? check wire and connectors. Optical? They get dirty too. Other? Using proper surface? Is the mouse clean? And, well, sometimes certain anti-virus scans can grab the focus of the mouse while they are doing a quick scan or in need of a client update, sub is close to running out or a trial period is about to end. Check and make sure Windows Updates didn't slip in something strange, which can happen on occasion, if a driver gets corrupted. Sometimes after a series of Windows updates over a period of time, a simple restart gets the updates installed, but but on occasion, just turning off the computer for a bit can do wonders.
