Since returning I've noticed that my average latency on Crushbone has doubled from about 90ms six months ago to 180ms lately. Anybody else? Is this perhaps attributable to the F2P conversion?

I am on Crushbone as well. I have noticed no such change here... I stay around 110 all the time.

Most likely this is either a degredation of your wireless signal (assuming you're on wifi) or otherwise the route between you and us may have changed.

For the former, you may look in to repositioning the antennae both on your router and your desktop's wireless card.

For the latter, there isn't much you could do about it. There are some network tests we can run so you can see the route between the servers and you, but without knowing your old route we wouldn't know if something's changed.

In any case if you'd like to run some connection tests feel free to contact support, however, under 200ms on ping times shouldn't translate to any noticeable amount of lag.

Neither download nor upload speeds have changed since then for me; Comcast reports no problems whatsoever with my signal strength; I experience the same latency in-game whether connected via router or directly to the modem. All signs would point to server-side lag, but I'll file a support ticket for giggles. It'd be nice to have those 80-120ms pings back.

And no, I'm not connected via wifi.

The most likely your route to the servers has changed. ISP Routing changes all the time, and unfortunately sometimes routes can drop in performance, however again a sub 200ms ping time should not translate in to any noticeable lag.
