Can I unlock character slots by deleting characters?

<p>I've just come back after a long time away. I've got 3 of my characters locked due to not having enough character slots. I was wondering if I delete a lower level character that I do have access to, will I be able to unlock these other characters? If so, do I get to pick who's unlocked?</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure that if you delete a character the next one that will appear in the list would be the one that was the next most recently logged on character. I am positive that you won't get to pick.</p>

Thus, if you delete one that's currently unlocked, the most recently logged-in character which does not have a slot available will occupy the now free slot.</p>
