Are these worthwhile pursuing at lower levels or are they mainly beneficial at 90? The reason I inquire is because due to the time it takes to research recipes, and the rarity of the reactants, it seems that at lower levels you would outlevel the recipe before you could make the gear. Am I missing something here? Because I can only see these as beneficial at max level really...

Thanks for any responses.

The potions you get are not level related in either adventuring or tradeskillling and some of them are worthwhile.

Additionally, the lower level the recipe, the faster it researches. If you're racing through adventure levels, then, no, the lower level recipes aren't useful to you. But that's the case with ANY adventure gear if you're adventure leveling that fast.

and you get tradeskill exp for them

Also (and this may sound terrible) the lower-level gear can make awesome appearance armor. All my mages may outgrow the lvl 20 robe in less time than it takes to research the recipe, but it looks fantastic on my lvl 90 dirge.

I'd never waste a collosal reactant on appearance armor, but a low-level one? I'm all over that!

I'm enjoying the content (and racking up a lot of AA). Her crafting level is above her adventuring level and I have several other crafters at or above 30 (most above 30, only 5 90s). I have two other sub 20s (adventuring) characters so I am keeping a couple crafters in the 30s for now (reactant chances) and have others in the 40s and a couple in the 50s. I'll level up crafters (or have them level up on the dailies) as I decide to level up my low level adventurers.
