Aye also the launcher is fubared as well cannot log into my second account, it just keeps on logging in on the first account, all 3 of our accounts also have the SC gone AWOL. Just what the hell did they f**K up this time.

Station Cash all gone on the three Gold accounts my hubby and I have. It doesn't say 0, just nothing there. Not just us then having this issue. Splitpaw server, but we're in Australia, so for us if we can't get tonight 10pm atm (6am US time), we sleep through the whole rest of the sale and won't be able to get anything.... Yes, I could stay up all night, and who knows when something might be done, but I do have this thing called "work" tomorrow <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> We paid subs and we paid for the cash. <p>Are the expansions part of the rebate? </p><p>If I bring up the Marketplace from the character select screen they usually have the Rebate flag.  (sometimes both, other times one or the other are marked).</p><p>From within the game if I bring up the Marketplace, I never see them with the Rebate flag.</p>

<p>My SC is now showing up, but I don't want to purchase anything until I get confirmation here from the mods or devs that the rebate system is fixed and we will indeed get our rebate when we purchase.  I don't feel like opening a bunch of help tichets if this goes wrong.</p>

<p>I tried to buy a house via gifting, I never got a window saying rebate, I only got spinning 'processing your request' after about 5 minutes of this I had to restart the client as there was no way to make it go away. Doesn't look like it took any sc however.</p>

the items listed for rebate on one account are not the same listed on another. Both of my accounts have a different list. Also, not actually getting a rebate on the items. Specifically class packs on my free account. I was going to buy some prestige homes and mounts on my paid account, but with this being absurdly handled by SOE they wont be getting any more money from me until they tell me its been fixed.

Something is definitely weird because all my unlocks and extra slots are normal pricing. No rebate tag on pic. I didnt buy anything, but they really need to get this fixed.</p><p>Id like to buy some unlocks so I can also do some race and name changes. <p>I just bought an "Additional Character Slot" from the character select screen market, which clearly had the rebate tag on it.  I have no recieved a rebate yet.  Is there a delay on the rebates or do we really need to open a ticket and wait for a long period of time that will make us miss the ability to purchase more SC items on this sale event?</p>

<p>So what's going on with the addition character slot rebate?  It's not there anymore and I did purchase it when it had a rebate tag on it.  I did not recieve a rebate.  Do we really have to wait till Tuesday to get our accounts adjusted?  For those who have expected a lot of SC back from rebates and to purchase more due to the SC rebate will miss out on the sales.  Extending 1 more day won't be fair for those who are owed SC since we have to wait till Tuesday to get our accounts adjusted.</p>

<p>My husband told me he logged today and went to the /petition screen, but there has been no answer for his ticket over the AoD rebate fiasco.  He also has not received back the rebate amount for the SC that was taken out of his account.  I'm begging SOE to not be like this and use false advertising to steal people's money.  If things were mis-coded in the shop, it is still wrong for you to take the SC because people clicked on things with the rebate tag because you stated that they would get a rebate back, and it was never delivered.  I've been trying to get family and friends to play this game, and you are not helping the cause at all.  </p>

<p>My husband finally got a response basically telling him to either keep what he bought at full price or revoke the service and get a full refund.  I suppose being willing to give a full refund for returning stuff is the decent thing to do, but now he won't EQ2 with me, not ever.  I was hoping the expansion which he thought he was getting a discount for would help him get drawn back into playing, now he's done and uninstalled the game.  I really wish this didn't happen.  Something that I was hoping might bring him back has now made him decide to never come back.  I'm taking time off this game too, this has made my weekend crappy, and I need a break from this.  I had just decided to continue doing recurring gold membership too, thinking that I love this game and don't mind paying SOE to keep their business going, but I'll be dropping out of subing.  This just feels very wrong and I don't spend my money to have my entertainment leave me with a sour feeling.</p>

I used the SC I bought to buy the character I really want to (DE Coercer) and this would mean that I would either have to delete it or pay full price. I might have bought it anyway, but the rebate thing made that decision so much easier. If SOE stands by this decision it really feels like being tricked into something and it would most likely spell the end for me too.I will wait and see what the reply to my complaint is before rushing to conclusions though. I would like to believe that a company like SOE has enough dignity to make sure their customers do not feel robbed or conned.</p>

<p>Having their cake and eating it too doesn't seem to be working.  Running a game has a certain flexibility, if things don't work initially, it's just a game.  Running a retail outlet selling products for cash is a bit different, people have higher expectations, even if it is still "just a game".</p><p>Rather than stepping up their quality control, it seems that it's now a departure when something is done professionally and works the first time, moreso than ever before.  I'd blame it on a skeleton crew, but we've had repeated assurances from SJ that this is not the case, and yet...</p><p>SOE is really not doing itself any favors, not just with this one promotion, but with broken links (even logging into the forum returned a 404) and broken mechanics all over, it all seems so amateurish.</p>

For a game that could stand to try and keep subs in an ever competitive market, you would think that at a MINIMUM, SOE would provide the expansion at the rebate price AS ADVERTISED. As a new player who just came to this game in the last few weeks (not a returning player, brand new) this leaves a sour taste and shows no loyalty to the player base or a desire to do whats clearly right.</p><p>I will take my refund and go play a game where I do not feel taken advantage of. While I feel sorry for long time players who are heavily invested in their characters and cannot leave (a fact I believe SOE takes advantage of), I was not given time to fall for the game (although I really started to like my brief time here).</p><p>One thing is for certain, the player base in EQ2 are amazing, friendly and kind... cant say the same about the company that creates the world you reside in.</p>

<p>I too am a new player that purchased the AoD expansion because it was flagged as a Rebate item.   In my petition I even attached a screenshot of both expansions clearly flagged as a REBATE item. I too got told that SOE would not honor the advertised sale and that I could either get a full refund (thus, throwing away 2 days of playtime on a new character) or just suck it up and not get a rebate.</p><p>Needless to say this extremely poor customer service will greatly impact my future purchases from SOE.</p>

<p>I was offered a refund or keep the item at regular price.  The rep escalated my issue up to the next person.  So far no responce yet.  I honestly would prefer to get the deal that I clicked on and accepted.  Not sure about anyone else but with these billing/account issues, hearing about how Sony is getting hacked into.  It's just getting a little too uncomfortable to invest in the game.  Especially with teases of gettin things on sale later to find out that you just got played and have to pay the full price.  I'm sure several players fueled their accounts this weekend with SC just to get "tricked".  Sure they will refund the SC, but will they refund the cash people fueled their accounts with?</p>

In a retail store, usually, if you see an item on the shelf, and it has a sale tag that's not supposed to be there, you can talk to the manager and still get the sale price. EQ2 can't do the same? With all of the mistakes and other problems lately, you'd  think they would want to make their customers as happy as possible, not make another bad move like this. The right thing to do would be to honor the prices and rebates that were posted, even if they were mistakes.  Since that's not the way this went down, I seriously think you need new management, before the company gets managed into the ground.</p><p>It's sad, because I have a lot of time and money invested into this game.. I love it. .. but you people are REALLY messing up at every turn!</p>
