spell reuse / ability reuse question

<p>i was under the impression that ability reuse worked on both spells and ca's.</p><p>tonight a guildie was telling me that ability reuse is for combat arts only and spell reuse was for spells only is this how it works?</p><p>im asking cause im a illy and all the em armor peices have ability reuse on them and not spell reuse . was wondering if i should reforge it all to spell reuse.</p><p>thx in advance</p>

<p>Confirmed.</p><p>Your guildie is either clueless or just has it backwards.</p><p>Ability reuse affects all (Spells, CA, abilities, even items like the Orb of Concentrated Memories), spell reuse affects spells only.</p><p>There is no need to test it on a parse, take off all your gear and examin a spell and an ability and write down the reuse times.</p><p>Put on a piece of gear that has one but not the other and examine again, then do the same with the opposite.</p>

<p>Remember to always test otherwise naked.</p><p>Reuse has a cap.  You cannot decrease reuse speed to below 1/2 the base (100% reuse modifier).  But given focus's, AA's, etc.. (like -x seconds on fusion) - it's very easy to hit the cap for certain spells with far from 100% reuse when fully geared.  End result, often you can add a piece of gear and it will appear to have no effect, because the spell/ability was already capped.</p>
