I apologize in advance for the long post .

I just had an observation regarding the removal of Critical Mitigation on items. I tend not to post (more just read the forums), but I wanted to ask this question as I have yet to see it specifically addressed by the Devs. It would seem that with the removal of CM on items themselves, the different tiers of items are being brought closer together. Given that there are 5 current tiers of DoV raid gear (plus tons of heroic gear sets and *potentially* a 6th set from PoW), it is likely difficult for the item generator to differentiate much between the sets as-is. The issue I had is that when removing the CM on the items, it is not being replaced by anything tangible. I was under the impression that given the adornments would be converted to health, there would be some change made to the gear, but it is apparent that those stats have just disappeared now. What this does in practicality is make the gap between gear even smaller. If this is not intended it could certainly be modified by addressing the base loot formula used to mildly boost the remaining stats by tier. Left as it is, someone taking down HM pants and having to deal with the double cast AEs, is likely not getting as big of an upgrade as they would hope for from either of the EM set pants (which many more guilds are able to kill).Given I’m a scout, I thought I would post what I came up with just looking at a very limited sample on raid pants (didn’t put pants from HM Vallon’s on there since only 6 guilds WW have taken that mob down). The DoV raid armor sets that are feasible for most guilds at this point would be Drunder x2>Kael EM>Drunder EM>Kael HM.

There could be a huge discussion about the quality of blue stats (dps mod is obviously far inferior to crit bonus), but for the sake of argument I just listed the blue stats in total and their relative percentage compared to other tiers of gear (there are inconsistencies either way with that argument, as Drunder EM has high CB than DoV HM, which is no longer offset by the greater CM on DoV HM).Citadel x2:130agi/130sta/37.1cm/18.5ma/17.3cb/6.2pot/12.4dpsTotal blue stats= 91.5 pre cm removal (total blue stats = 87.6% of EM, 69.4% of HM), 54.4 post cm removal (total blue stats = 90.1% of EM, 75.8% of HM)Easy Mode DoV:123agi/123sta/44cm/22ma/16cb/6.1pot/16.3dpsTotal blue stats= 104.4 pre cm removal (78.2% of HM DoV), 60.4 post cm removal (84.1% of HM DoV)Easy Mode Drunder:148agi/148sta/52.9ma/26.4ma/19.2cb/7.3pot/19.8dpsTotal blue stats = 125.6 pre cm removal (95.3% of HM DoV), 72.7 post cm removal (101.3% of HM DoV)Hard Mode DoV:139agi/139sta/60cm/31ma/18.6cb/7.8pot/14.4dpsTotal blue stats= 131.8 pre cm removal, 71.8 post cm removalAgain, I’m sure this has been looked at, but it may warrant some consideration. Granted the DoV HM will allow you to put an extra yellow on the armor for an extra 2% crit bonus…but there is still a closing of the gap somewhat between tiers it seems. If I am way off base please let me know, this is just what I observed in looking at one piece of gear through its progression.
