OK, this may be a dumb question, but here and there (including in the MOTD of the test server) there's references to "Test" server and "Test Copy" server.

(Message of the Day: Test Copy server is a testing area. Please be aware that characters created on this server may be wiped at any time. If you wish to play with characters in a permanent test environment, please use the regular Test server (not Test Copy).)

So, apparently there is more than one test server?

How do you log in to just the "Test" server as opposed to the "Test Copy" server?

To access Test and Test Copy, on the patcher at the top right, you need to change the region to Public Test. It'll go through its patching, then you can create characters on Test

Test and Test copy are a separate region, like US English, EU English, etc. Any characters you make there don't count toward your character limit (if you have 4 slots on your regular region, you'd also have 4 slots on the Test region).

Test server is pretty much like any other server. It's a much smaller population, but it's got its own dedicated players with its own economy. Any character you'd play on that server would have to be created from scratch and leveled up just like any other server. There is a 50% exp. bonus on both Test servers to help out a little.

Test Copy is the server that you can copy your regular characters to in order to test out features. Test Copy has the same exp. bonus, but Test Copy can and will be erased periodically. Sometimes they change it to a PvP server if there is new PvP content to test.

Once you get the Test region downloaded and patched, the two servers show up in the server list, just like Live servers do. If you want to copy a character over, it's a good idea to create a character there first, even if you don't plan on playing it. The creation just kind of "wakes up" the server, haha.
