Brewday Festival 2012 has been activated on Test and Test Copy!Grab a stein and celebrate Brewday! The shouts of rowdy patrons located near every player city will lead you to The Bar of Brell where adventures and crafts await those thirsty and foolhardy enough to enter. Meanwhile, Otengard Brauer has set up a Beer Garden in the Butcherblock Mountains in celebration of Brewday, but the ale seems to have attracted some goblins. Help him while completing against others in an effort to rid the area of the most goblins.
I agree, positively evil timing, esp as my bf's work contract might be ending on Fri, and I wanted to get Eday finished on live before then, no chance of getting both finished.

By the way, why no Brewday gardens in Frostfang, surely the barbarians love a good brew as much as the dwarves!!!!! Esp as there are coldain dwarves there as welll!!!!!!!!

Right started a quick run through before I had to leave to do shoping.

1) Love the new look for the portal to Bar of Brell

2) Little problem with getting the Blackburrow stout from Blackburrow for lower level chars, unless they get help, no way to get it without being slaughtered in BB, this applies to level 20 and under. Should have mentioned this last year, was a little tough on this char 24 templar.

3) Left bar of Brell to get ice brew in New Halas, was a good char so able to get out in Halas. However, on going back to Halas portal, it couldn't be clicked upon, would not activate at all for her.

Thats's it so far.

Another fantastic set of things to craft - thank you!

The goblin GTA game is awesome - especially the sound effects - and I'll have to run it 8 times to get 6 plates of food and the 2 kegs lol.

I /bug, /typo and /feedbacked some more stuff but will try to recall it for here.

The other crafts went fine but I'd like to put in my normal request to please make these recipes use Geomancy, even though I know the answer will be that they're in-line with previous years. It's honestly excruiciating to make these if you're not on a Carpenter imo.

The Strand of Brewday Lights looks like it's a Frostfell light strand. Mistletoe, ornaments and all.

The door to the Bar of Brell in New Halas doesn't work.

Steinsister Daglara - She should be moved outside of her hut. Me walking into that hut on my Great Divide gyphon alone filled up half the hut. I shudder to think of the Beastlord warder zoo and millions of other mounts crammed into there on Live. I don't even think my husband's Ogre can fit through the doorway either as my characters come up to his knee.

Deep Within Hammerhall - I assume the other door opened because I got all the ghosts. There seemed to be a pause between it but that was the only correlation I could make. On this one I have no idea what the bags of coin were for. Nothing went into my inventory and they didn't update the quest. The two rewards for this quest look absolutely amazing, thank you.

Brell's Everlasting Brew - still need to turnin the quest on Test but SQUEEEE plushie!!!!

We got several Dungeon Maker spawners and avatars for Erollisi Day but I was disappointed not to see any for Brewday. Any chance we can at least get some spawners? Make them cost emerald clovers or plat. If you put in some spawners that looked like plants I would be thrilled (and finally be able to continue working on my dungeon).

I still have to finish up Brewday by seeing what the beer race is in Butcherblock but I'll be sure to give my feedback then.

Whereabout would the Beer Guardin quest be? I looked at the docks in BB and up at the encampment.. but didn't see it those places.

Oh.. and too bad you didn't make a garland of clover like the dasies for E-day..and the sting of lights does look a little too frostfell-y. Isn't there something else you could put on the ends besides frostfell baubles?

Yep, my exact thought too, some clovers woul fit better on this garlad, or falling clovers (or the effect on the clover carpet).

Thanks for the tips on Brewmaster, Cyliena. I broke all the crates and barrels on the way in and he was non-aggro when I got in the room. I went back through each room to see if I missed anything (I didn't) and he was immediately aggro when I entered. Leaving the room and re-entering seemed to trigger him being attackable for me.

Love the new Beer Guarding contest, well done. Just curious, is the scoring the same as it is for the Hearts a'Flutter contest (80+ enormous prize, etc)?

Also, is the Strand of Brewday Lights using the correct art? If so can the mistletoe at least be removed from it so it looks less Frostfell-ish? (though I'd rather see beer steins or clovers instead of ornaments)

And Lodrelhai is correct, the Book of Bound Mithril is blank.

More Brewday Beer Guardin' stuff:

Deleting the Brewday Beer Guardin' quest before takeoff makes it so you can't move until the start race timer goes because the "prepare for takeoff" buff isn't removed.

Hovering over the sparkles at the top of the scoreboard gives a pop-up box stating "Sparkles". Made me giggle.

The rewards are inconsistant for their tradeability. At the least please make the Rivervale Distillery and Wooden Fermentation Tanks heirloom please?

Goblins are walking over the rocks by the kegs and into the rock wall on the sandy hill (around /way 218.42, 44.20, 228.50).

Love the wormhole at the end, great idea, trekking back if you happened to be far out was pretty 'meh' for other similar races.

I tried various points to try and figure out the prizes (based off of Hearts a'Flutter)... at both 1 and 39 points I got a small prize; at 64 points I got a big prize; at 79 points I got a huge prize and my two 100+ point runs I got enormous prizes.

Deep Within Hammerhall

1. I love this zone, it was fun! I especially liked the different animals you find inside some of the barrels and crates.

2. Destroying one of the barrels (at 167, 17, -63) left the graphic for the broken barrel floating in mid air.

3. The barrels that drop sparkley coin bags - when you mouseover them you get the loot icon on the mouse pointer, but the coin bag also lights up with the highlight for clicking it. Then when I click to loot I'm getting the cast bar for picking something up. This seems odd and unnatural, inconsistent with the rest of the game. Surely either you're looting (loot mouse pointer and instant click) or you're performing a "pick up" action (hand mouse pointer and cast bar)? But seems like both are happening on these objects, or rather the two methods are mixed up.

4. I don't know if the zone art is re-used (probably?) but my fae keeps getting stuck on the mini steps running across the various doorways in here.

5. Otherwise the zone ran pretty smoothly, and the problems other people mentioned above didn't happen for me with the fixes that have gone in.

4. But it's a zone that is not easily accessable, so I figured quite a few wouldn't have seen it previously.

5.
Just finished a run through. Everything seemed to work fine except for a little lag. I have to agree with the others on the lights looking too much like Frostfell. I think the clover is a great idea. The goblin run down is bizarre. Whoever came up with that one either marches to the beat of his own drummer, had hoisted a few or both. I, like most everyone else like the entrance into the Bar of brell much better.

If you don't want to do the quests, don't do them. But you choose to lose the opportunity for the items. It's no different than those of us who don't want to deal with the time and egos of raiders, who raise hell from the rooftops if the non-raiders get anything that resembles "their" loot.

I'm new to running characters on the test server so my characters are babies at the moment, but some feedback I have based on my experiences so far with Brewday. Overall it is fun. There is a challenge aspect I like away from the live servers. Now as for my feedback:

The name of the quest escapes me and I can't log (not at home) in at the moment but on the quest where you have to retrieve the dwarf's Armor. In Moor's of Yekesha according to my map it is on the other side of the gorge meaning you need to take the cannon. There seems to be no way to this if you are below 80. (I'll admit my character is 12) I can understand if she is too low to complete the quest (hope to have her 20 this week) My question is would be possible for a low level character to complete this or is it intended for high level only? (I think I ran this quest last year on live but on my 90's so the thought didn't occur to me)

Sorry that's all I have so far. I'll try to give more as I see it. I know a lot has been said already and as I said I am totally new to test server.

Not sure if you intended to send a level 27 to JW (at least it was at the sokakar post by the druid ring) or if it's a glitch, but in the step where Oldar Foambeard sends you to an "unknown locale", my little 27 coercer ended up in Jarseth Wastes.

I did the quest on my other toons and the highest zone I ended up in was Mystic Lake with a level 50.
Too late for this year, but could you revamp the items from the quest, "Thurgadin Ice Brew"?

The axe and shield are ok I guess for appearance items, really not worth using them for anything else. So could you work on it for 2013 that the have better stats OR can be converted to a house item? Especially the house-item part and better yet, why not both, like the Halas quest items were?

Another thing I noticed and only reason I noticed was because the Jester Gardens and bountiful Brewday Garden are both on test at same time for now, is that there is no bountiful harvest on the Brewday Garden, yet there is one on the Jesters. Any special reason why?

I REALLY want bountiful harvest to work when I am harvesting, regardless of the event. It worked fine for erollisi roses, tinkerfest cogs, Jester's Gardens.. but having to do a questline to even see the gardens to gather. It sure would be nice if the bountiful harvests worked.

Forgive me if I missed it, only read 3 pages, but I cannot hail Jimmy Runner. He has a big ole red book over his head (shocking that it's there, I know) but I cannot hail him and if I click on him no other options. Have logged in and out and really don't wanna try on multiple toons. Halp?

Not a single bountiful harvest from brewday gardens and I currently have a 69% chance of getting one. Haven't been able to check the jester's ones on Test yet but I'm pretty sure that the Frostfell harvests give bountiful ones. Very strange!
