Hi I am new. If i character change just for looks what does it affect.

<p>If I character change for better appearance can I pick a race that does not have a Shadow Knight</p><p>Does it affect stats? I want to stay a Shadow Knight but iwant to look like an Elf and use SK</p><p>skills and not pally skills.  Basically I want to be a good SK and do elf quests. If i ever make it to</p><p>level 90 could I pick a good diety or god thing and could i still later on change back to evil just to get</p><p>high end completed legend or fabled or epic quest story line. Or i could just stay evil and do evil quests</p><p>untill i do epics or whatevr they called.</p><p>Also someone said it really dont matter what race u pick even though i picked orc it started with</p><p>30 strength because strength regardless of class will get maxed by level 90 and armours</p><p>so even if i picked a race thats better quited for say scout or mage eventually it would max out</p><p>on strength. I will be doing SK till level 90 to learn game</p><p>I prefer to look like high elf and prefer to be good i could just buy descent armour but after level 90</p><p>i want to make shure i can still do epic for uber armours. I can stay evil if needed till i do epic unless</p><p>epic quests are repeatable. if i start out and stay as good could i do pally epic i donno if uber weapons</p><p>are ok for SK. I dont wanna be a pally</p>

<p>hello!</p><p>Shadowknights aren't evil. The real Evil lives in Qeynos and Kelethin. Yes they pretend to be good, but just look what they do all day: slaughter and slaughter, they even hack up trees and Fairies.</p><p>So you should be proud to be in Freeport or Neriak. If you're an Ogre, I agree that you're REALLY ugly, but I don't mind.You could change to become a Dark Elf, or anything else - just nothing that claims to be GOOD. Any neutral race is also acceptable.We don't allow Shadowknights or Necromancers to betray us, and you wont ever get accepted by the hypocrites in the "good" cities.</p><p>So if you manage to betray your city, you will become a Paladin Weakling - then you can change into a "Good" race too.</p>

<p>The only way you can be a good faction SK is to be on Nagafen server.  That is the PvP server, and has some bent rules because of raid requirements in the past.</p><p>On Blue (non PvP) servers, you are EVIL if you are a shadowknight.  No way to betray to a good city unless you wish to be forced to become a paladin.... or you can betray, gain partial status but will be in limbo as it were, with no way to do the good questlines, unless  you declare your loyalty..... and become a paladin. </p><p>And the only way to make a good race an SK is to start paladin and betray to an evil city.</p><p>PS if you want to just LOOK like a high elf, get a petrified high elf eye illusion (check broker) and stock up on high elf bones.  Or get a race change potion off of Station Cash store if you want to spend real cash. </p>

<p>If you want to roleplay "good", then I would advise either playing as a pally until after doing your epic/epic repercussions, and then betraying to SK, or, betray to SK, level up, betray to pally, do epic/er, betray to SK....Cause while the SK epic questline is fun, you are pure evil.  Not to give too much away, but basically, you use NPCs to get what you want, then you slaughter them. </p><p>Basically, though if you just care about appearances, go with Leeroy's suggestion. As far as the starting stats, having 30 Str or 10 Str is meaningless because at 90 you will have 2000+ str.  Choose a race you like appearance of, or choose a race that gives you something your class doesn't get, like ratonga for disarm traps, or kerra for track and safe fall. </p><p>Ultimately though, choose a race you like the appearance of because quite frankly the class traits are likely to change.  They have changed at least 3 times since launch, and I would not be at all surprised if they changed again.</p><p>If you just want to maximize the quests you can do, I suppose you could keep betraying.  There used to be a limit on number of times you could betray, but that was removed.  Pretty sure, you can just keep betraying with no limit these days.  I guess you could do all the quests, good and evil that way, or at least most of them.</p>
