Imagine that having Mercenaries that will not have any upkeep fees!!!

They should be sold in SC Store or as a LoN Loot-Card.

Suggestion to make them as a House Item when purchased/claimed, because that this will prevent further problems when you want to hire another mercenary so that they will just return to the house when fired.. LOL.

Specific specs will be, only the "Owner" of the house+mercenarySCBuyer will be able to hire them (Just like Tradeskill Apprentices function as they only recognize the owner)

They can be fix as HEIRLOOM House Item so that you pass them within the same account so that your other characters can use/hire them.

Please no.

1) We need MORE plat sinks in game, not less.

2) Good items should not be only via real money or the real money lotto that is LoN.

LOLOL it's not like they are expensive to use if using correctly and they more than make up for their cost in what they enable you to do.

The only request I would have with Mercs is that, like mounts, you can have a contract with multiple ones and then bring out the appropriate one when needed, other than that, for normal lvl 40 - 90 usage, they seem to work really well.

Actually, there's a solution for this present in EQ1. Instead of making whole new mercenaries, they created a system of Bayle Marks (iirc on the name). You buy the marks in the Marketplace, they get used instead of plat for your mercenary upkeep.

I never actually had to use one there, as there's plenty o'plat around, but it might be something I'd consider in EQ2.

Imagine a super rare merc off LoN.

I would toss in the towel at that point. A reasonable sc merc would not bother me.
