Launcher not working right

<p>tried to log in today, double clicked the launcher, ot a watch like screen this time and when I put in my log in it tells me that the chat server is not working?</p><p>I've never seen this log in screan and I was trying to log into the game not chat.</p><p>I reloaded the the launcher and got the same result. Any help please</p>

<p>Are you a returning player or have you been playing just fine and this just occurred out of the blue?  The problem comes from running the old, unpatched, EQ2.exe file that was used for our older patch methods.</p><p> You should be able to download our latest LaunchPad 4 Full Assets installer, run it and direct it to install over your existing EQII folder, and be ready to patch and play.  What you'll also want to do is delete that EQ2.exe file and update any shortcuts that pointed to it.  Re-direct it to the LaunchPad.exe file.</p><p><a href="http://launch.soe.com/installer/EQ2_setup.exe" target="_blank">[EQII] Full Assets</a></p>

<p>I've been playing fine up till this morning, I have reinstalled the launcher 6 times with the same thisng happening, I have done the reinstall/repair and the full install with the same results,</p><p>am I going to have to delete all of my eq2 folder and reinstall everything just so I can play?</p>
