Good evening .

The last AA tree change, where a tradeskill tab was added, the necromancers lost their seperate pet trees .

Since then, I've been struggling with my necro, as I feel our pets lost a lot of power . For an example, I was soloing with my magic pet quite well. Now, my scout pet does more damage, and my tank pet doesn't survive .

Could I get some direction here ? I'm sure my AAs are too spread apart, as I'm not getting the hang of the changes .

Thank you in advance .

For the most part, the AA changes mean you spend less AA overall, and get the flexability to use all pets. Such as Magic Leash and Perceptor's Command being changed into a single taunt for tank pet and deagro for others. Additionally, the power replenishment now works on all pets and is part of the initial summoner starter AA that gives INT/STA rather than requiring and endline and being mage-only. In the necromancer tree, a single AA now replaces three that enhanced tank, mage, and scout pets separately. The main thing lost was a lot of spell-double-attack for the mage pet, but otherwise these changes shouldn't be causing you such issues. You might have to go back and reread what all the AA do now, since they've been changed around/combined.

Hm .. the Necromancer forums here are kind of outdated, but many say after the changes, the Mage pet is the best to use if soloing which will basically entail every pet defensive AA available along with the agro dump.

You can look in the Necromancer forums here: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...w.m?forum_id=78 but look for any posts after 9/1/11 (since that is about when they did the AA tree changes)

There is another place to look (one which cannot be named here) so I'll send you those in PMs.

Take a look at this build which was made 12/5/11.

Giving your mage pet a positional detaunt + transfert some of its hate to you is detrimental while soloing unless you're overgeared for the content you're doing but then your AA setup is pretty much irrelevant.
