Have been looking into progression guilds lately and have found there is quite a variance in what is involved. Some guilds limit only level, some limit every aspect of the experience. What would you consider a fun but *adventurous* progressive guild.

Here are some of the factors that would affect the leveling epxerience:

Broker usage

Crafters

What zones do you use as you level, only old world or new world?

Use of AA's

Tinkering/transmuting at early levels.

Mercs, Research Assistants (both crafting and master)

Buying gear in SLR or auction channel (or even broker!)

That's all I can think of this early in the AM

For me it's simple.

Level lock for sure, but not rushing by upping the level within a week. Spend some time in the each level that you lock, maybe a month or so would be good.

Different people are going to have different opinions on what 'progression' means exactly in this context.

In its' truest form it should mean that you can only experience the world as it was during what your current state of progression is, hard to do today though. There were no AA's before KoS, there was not the ridiculously overpowered far better than fabled gear on the broker from TS apprentices. There was not the ability mod, potency etc on the items the mobs in the overland zones produced challenges not just lay down and die as a group of adventures came upon them.

It would be nice if they did a progression server I would roll a toon on it problem is there is simply not enough interest I doubt that 500 players would roll a toon on it and a good portion would up and leave because of the lack of instant gratification that the game now is aiming to provide.
