Unable to do anything for a few minutes when zoning in. [Archive]

Howdy! I saw two threads about this, but they didn't provide all the tools to solve the problem / test stuff so I thought i'd go ahead and make a UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING FOR A FEW MINUTES WHEN ZONING M-M-MEGATHREAD.My problem is that the first time I zone into a zone, everything loads properly but I am unable to interact with any npcs / use any abilities for several minutes. After the initial hurdle is done I can play the game as usual with no significant connection problems, and dying and reloading in the zone doesn't cause the problem to come back. It also doesn't happen every time I zone - just the vast majority! I can seemingly die and rezone without being hit.I decided to try testing this out with the performance indicator on, and whenever I first zone and get the connection problem the yellow numbers shoot up to 18,000 and flickers between 18,000 and 63 the entire two minutes it takes for the connection to normalize. Normally it runs from 600-1400, which is my normal latency. (I'm on a satellite connection and this is one of the few mmos actually playable at that latency!) When it goes to 600/1400 I can do thing normally. (The blue performance number stays a steady 1,400 the entire time, even when the connection problems are happening)I'll post my dxdiag, tracert, and pathping in the following posts. In the meantime, if anyone else having the problem (I've seen two or three of you posts!) go ahead and post in this thread so we can suss out what's up, it'll definitely help more to have people with *real* internet connections posting about it too, haha.edit: I should also note that I disabled my antivirus and my connection worked fine when I last played the game in around august/september. It may come across as a cop out but I promise it is the best recommendation I can make with the information I'm seeing from you here.Have a discussion with your service provider to address that 1500+ms ping right out of the gates.192.168.1.1 is your router, it responds in 1ms as it should and doesn't appear to have an issue. However, as soon as data moves from your router to your ISP's devices you are met with 1313ms latency, which will give you horrible in-game performance. SOE cannot affect those nodes we can only affect our own and those would be owned/operated by your ISP. If your service provider is ATT then they own/operate all hops from 2 to at least 17, as I haven't looked in to what hop 18 is which may be ours or it may just be in transit and owned/operated by ATT or another 3rd party. With the latency already introduced in Hop 2, it doesn't really matter beyond that hop. If 2 gets resolved and further hops still have huge latency, then we'll have to re-address it with the 3rd party that operates that particular hop.
