about 6-7 out of 10, the video messes up. to fix it I have to exit the game and relog. but it comes back after about 2 to 3 zones.

the feathers over the NPCs change to Dots, and also on the crashpad appearance mount looses it's graphics also.

The problem with quest feathers and books disappearing after being in the game a while is a known issue. Not sure where the problem is if you have a problem with specific objects rendering badly.

You can also open a support ticket with your DXDIAG/MSINFO files so we can identify or rule out a system issue.

I was hoping that other's have posted about the same problem, I know I have fellow guildies, that have the same problem for a couple of weeks now.

The problem is them, (happens about 3-4 times a week), when I login everything is fine. after I zone to a new place everything is fine. Then when I zone to a second place or third, or sometimes zone from my house back to the guildhall or from and instance back to the guldhall. I will see it then, where if you look at the quest givers with any zone. instead of a feather or red box over their head showing that they have a quest to give or have a completed quest, all you will see is a ball of light or something to that effect. Like a dot of white light.

I also have a turbator 1000, that i was gifted from the StationCash by someone, and I will notice along with the no feathers over quest givers, that the propeller on the back of the mount will be missing.

Restarting helps, but as soon as I zone it resets the problem with the ball of light over the questgivers and missing propellers.

Hope that helps.

As mentioned above the quest feather indicator does have issues on our end that we are looking in to, these are presumably separate from the propeller but I haven't tested that yet.

I'm currently running EQ2 on an old (business class, w/XP Pro 32 bit OS) platform - a single core Pentium 4 with an ATI Radeon X1300 (PCI) video card. I keep my graphics settings on 'Extreme Performance' and my framrates are very poor.

The purpose of this post is to report that I currently have no problem seeing quest feathers or quest completion books as they should appear, although many people have remarked in chat (as here, in this thread) that they're having problems with the appearance of these items - again, to me they look quite normal.

Also, I've heard much about cloaks that do not appear, or don't appear properly, and I see them all just fine on my setup. (On my wife's computer - a much newer, core i7 powered machine with a NVidia GTS 250 graphics card - cloaks do not appear at all, on many toons).

(Just an fyi.)

Is your wife using the streaming LauncHpad or Full Assets? Does she see the dancing dragon?

Neither of us are using the dancing dragon - we're both using the new launchpad, but we both have the 'background' streaming feature disabled (the only time we see the dancing dragon is when we press F10 to move game widows around).

It seems to be the particle effects 'tanking' out - usually seems to happen after zoning.

Reason I say this is that along with the 'dot of light' in place of the feathers, my various spells will loose effects - Ice Coment for instance, shows the trail, but you don't see the comet. Firestorm for another example - you can see the 'rain' from the spell, but not the actual ground level fire from the spell. Solar Flare shows the core of the spell, the 'zap' - but the surronding particle seem to disappear. Also like above, various objects like transport disks might loose some of their effects as well.

I did just update my nVidia driver to version 285.62 (GeForce 8600 GT) and was hoping that might help. I've only ran the game maybe 2 hours since, and have had no issues, but it's definately intermittent. The OS it's running under is Win7 64-bit.

Running the full client - installed around October of 2011

Here's a couple sections of my dxDiag, if it helps.

------------------System
