As I was skimming through the collections on the broker, page after page if what I already have, I was wondering what could be done to help search for collections that I did not have, completed or discovered that would make things easier.

It has already been suggested not showing you the collection peices you have already added to your journal.

What about adding the level of the collection to the broker so that I could search by level. I then could set a lvl limit of say 10 to 25 and instead of 9000 pages I might get 250.

Just a thought.

That shouldnt be to hard to add. The collection already has a lvl linked to it and the broker has the column for level.

it would also be awsome to be able to filter out collections you already have added to your journal, and or compleated.

As long as it would be a feature that could be toggled off to control the huge amount of lag that would casue.. Having to scan and cross reference the entire broker catalog would be something I'd only want to do if I was looking for just what you are asking for, but in no other case.

If this is workable, I think the two idea, filter by level and items needed, would be a good addition.

This sounds like it would be a good addition...if not level, then just a filter for what we already have.

Your collections journal already does this (default I don't know) if using Drums/Profit/? You can sort and then click the collection piece you don't have while the broker window is open and it populates the description and searches. The broker (and tradeskill window) search accepts "-" and "+" in front of searches to narrow down up to a point: "-page" removes all page collection items from the search

I have profit market window but to find a collection I know nothing of, I set coin to 1 copper, select collection and page through till I find a collection I dont have, that is not registered in my journal.

Ie: they add a new collection today, Bob the froglock has more than he needs and puts one on the broker for 10g, I have to thumb through 500 pages of greyed out collections I already have to get to that one piece I never knew about.

There used to be a checkbox on the broker that would filter out collections you already had - spells, too. I will never, ever understand why SOE removed it. Its been irritating me for years.
