I do applologize for the crudeness of this tread title, but it seems SOE does not understand simple engrish too well, maybe they will understand obvious words.

I have no reason to be polite to SOE as I tried that over a petition I had made about a guildhall issue before AoD release nearly 2 months ago and after getting boosted to management and them failing to fix the issue through basic means they pretty much told me that the fix would likely be backburnered due to AoD and F2P merge, nearly 2 months later and the issue still plagues my hall. To clarify, anyone that is not a member of my guild can't enter the hall, it insists that rent needs to be paid although it is fully paid for months. AoD is in the past, F2P as well. IDK what excuse they have now, but they obviously have not been spending this time fixing whatever horrid coding they implemented with AoD.

I do not own a crappy or virus filled rig. I know how to take care of my pc and so does my BF(his job is fixing computers!) We both have fairly up to date PC's(top of the line parts from maybe a year or 2 ago(this game is 6-7 years old!)

The issues only exist with eq2, the issues have only gotten MUCH worse since AoD. If I could have been given a garantee that not buying that halfarsed expac would have solved all my issues, I would not have bought it, but I'm sure that SOE was courteous enough to let everyone enjoy the "fun" of extra crashes.

Ok, so not everyone(so I've heard) but this is not a localized issue either, I have heard of a good bunch of people that have had similar issues since AoD. I can't play this game without worrying about random crashes(If I play this game for the entire day, I crash 5-10 times at least, that is not an exagerated number and I often crash 5-10 times just trying to get back into the game after a crash, it is headsmashingly irritating!) I run next to nothing in the background, yet it is constantly complaining about memory errors and crashing out because of it.

If I had to take a guess, AoD somehow added another horrid memory leak to the game. Course that wouldn't explain why it don't happen to everyone.

I just want to bring this into the light, it is a very real issue that needs imediate attention asap, I have often quit playing the game alltogether for the day because I just cant handle the crashing out of it for no reason whatsoever.

Edit: upon suggestion from a guildie I am going to reinstall the game(Don't get me wrong, I'd thought of it beforehand but I really do hate reinstalling this game, it's like, a full day proccess, but it's so bad it's completely unplayable at this point, so frak it) if reinstallation works I will update this post to include that, if it does not, I will update this post to show that. either way I will update this post in a day when I'm done reinstalling.(note: This will be a full and proper reinstall, I will also be searching for any registry entries and deleteing litterally everything with the everquest name before installing from scratch)

Other people not being able to enter someone else's gh has nothing to do with your computer.

Good luck getting any help from SOE. Ive been playing this game off and on since launch. Everytime I quit its because of some problems with the game, such as the one your having, that make it too irritating to continue. Each time SOE just gives up and refuses to acknowledge me or my problem. The only time Ive ever gotten any real help from SOE is if it had a cookie cutter answer.

I don't want defend SOE in fanboi style but having a new expensive rig does not mean the problem can't be at the rig. Maybe your PC has a heat problem or maybe there is a problem with drivers/configuration. Reinstalling the whole game does not change much, it would be faster to delete only the configuration files because reinstalling all the big pak-files and such stuff is a waste of time.

Regarding your guild hall problem I would have tried to solve it by abandoning the hall and buy a new. That's annyoing but better than being angry for months.

As for the guildhall thing, ya got 250 plat to throw my way, I'm no raider/farmer nor do I care to take the time to redecorate my entire hall. Reinstalling the game including killing off anything the game left on my comp then installing it again has had NO affect. The game epic crashed(7 crash error messages) This game is nearly entirely unplayable at this point FIX IT NOW SOE OR I WILL BE CANCELING BOTH MY SUBS NEXT MONTH. YA HEAR THAT???? MONEY, OUT OF YOUR POCKET! STOP SITTING ON YOUR GDF HANDS ALREADY!

I understand exactly how you feel. This too was happening to me as often as you are reporting until yesterday when I did the following:

In an effort to free up memory:

1. removed all shortcuts on my desktop

2. changed my desktop background to windows default

3. cleared the cache file

Followed the instructions in another thread in the support forums:

4. deleted the 90 something qeynos files

5. Re-opened the game and it installed the missing files.

It didn't freeze the rest of the night after zoning like 40-50 times.

I have experienced one crash today however.

I've been crashing since AoD pretty much. I know it's not my computer, as I do not crash in any game. I have found an annoying work around, if I uninstall the game, and reinstall it, I'll be crash free for 1 or 2 days. It will start crashing again, and I'll crash 100% of the time within minutes of entering the game, until I reinstall again. sigh

The game just freezes with no error messages.

Not to discount your problems at all, and this might be unhelpful, but I haven't had a crash in months after having a similar problem after Kunark was released. The game was unplayable for me and that went on for months. I changed video cards twice because I'd get tearing and other video oddities before a similar message or it would just freeze. I reinstalled the game, video drivers, etc. and nothing helped, it would crash within minutes even if I didn't move.

Eventually I was doing something else and left out one set of mainboard RAM, and it stopped. It was apparently a voltage problem with that pair that appeared nowhere else, even 3d stress testing came out fine. Kingston says it tested ok, but it just didn't play well with this motherboard and second set of RAM in my specific configuration. I don't know why this would stress things differently than burnin tests, but it did for me.

@Frixem

Over the years I had several phases whit strange eq2 crashes. Sometimes I fixed it with really strange solutions, sometimes the problem disappeared without a reason. Can only give you the advice to try out also unconventional things. Switch your RAM bars to other slots, try an older graphic driver, let your pc case open (to check if it's a heat problem), disable Windows services (many of them you will never use), switch graphic card to another slot, look for newer chipset driver, try lower settings in eq2 ...

The thing is that most players don't have much crashes atm. It's also impossible for a game company to test any possible rig configuration. The fact that your rig makes no problems outside of eq2 does not mean anything is ok with hard/software.
