some houses/manors got "rent bug"

<p>rent were just paid, and within 5 mins i couldn't get back in, it said it required rent due, i was puzzled by this.</p><p>it was paid as i got in and zone in other house zone i owned and went back to my manor and it stop me returning to my manor.</p><p>another bug occurred while inside manor that force me to leave, i got pop up house list zone that still persist and uncloseable.</p><p>that 2 bugs i found, rent bug and house list pop up bug.</p><p>i think it might be random and wonder if other players had same experience with this situation.</p>

<p>A few days ago I had a similar payment problem. I thought it might have been a server delay between paying the rent and haing it register in game, similar to the delay in sending server info when you change access to your home.</p>

<p>This happened to me as well.  I paid rent using the guild hall housing portal and then it sent me outside my house and asked me to pay rent again.</p>

<p>It happens to me a lot. I'll get the pop up saying that I can't access until my rent is due, and I'll choose to pay it, then I'll try to access the house and it then boots me back outside saying that my rent is due. If I then want to access, I have to pay a second time. I've had it happen through the guild portal and from the house doors themselves. It's happened with multiple types of houses and inn rooms.</p><p>The only way I've gotten around it is when the rent due pop up comes up, I choose to pay and then I'll choose NOT to access the house right away. Once I've cleared the screen of all menus, I can access the house without having to pay twice.</p><p>I'd never heard of anyone else having or complaining about this problem until today so I'd thought it was just some fluke that only I was experiencing.</p>

Paid my Neriak house rent, entered, housing list remained.</p>

<p>It happens to me a lot too.   I end up paying the rent, zoning to the house, the window pops up from the door forcing me to zone elsewhere, and then I have to pay the rent again. </p><p>Edit: I've never looked to see if it actually takes my money both times.  If it does take my money both times I don't know if I get credit for the total amount I paid.</p>

<p>It happens to me quite a bit.  I've got some storage houses and I sometimes pay the rent on them twice during the same visit while I'm running back and forth decorating. </p>

<p>Maybe its time to just remove rent from houses.  With all the rent free prestige houses anyone can avoid paying rent.  If you get rid of the rent you should remove the bug.</p><p><img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>This is just the market correcting itself.  Landlords heard about the terrible land grab in Freeport and are trying to make as much profit as they can before the same thing happens in Qeynos, then Neriak, Gorowyn, and Halas.  Kelethin is being left alone insurance is too high there due to the trees, wind, and arson crazed orcs.</p><p>But seriously, as the previous poster stated, I have only seen this when trying to get to a house with rent due from the Guild Hall.</p>

<p>This actually happened to me in a T3 guild hall on the Test Copy server, I hit pay upkeep and it booted me back out, so I paid it again. I didn't notice whether it took my money twice or not (I had a few thousand plat in the escrow), but it did only give me 7 days.</p>

<p>Here are a couple bugs I have noticed since when they changed the housing:</p><p>Pay one week rent when is past due, get booted back to outside as you are loading house.  This happens a lot, but I have found that if I pay 2 weeks it is a lot less likely to happen.</p><p>Houses change permissions unexpectedly, including the no-rent ones.  Quite a few times I will try entering a house of an alt to use buff items in it.  And I find I cannot enter.  When I bring the owner of the house in, I find the rent is paid (if a house that requires upkeep.)  But the permissions have been changed to no visitors.</p>

<p>I am not sure if I have experienced this bug or just something similar.  But I have noticed sometimes, that when I go to access a house that has rent due, if I don't wait for a bit after paying it, it doesn't register that it has been paid and I either get sent to outside the front door, or get the pop up window of exit options when I enter.  Sometimes, when I get the exit options, I can close it out, but other times I have to leave and return before it closes.  I have never had to pay the rent more than once though.</p><p>I agree with another poster that it would be nice if rent were eliminated completely.  I'm finding these days that I mostly only use my prestige homes... though I have kept some of my older homes due to various reasons.  None of my alts has more than one house that requires rent though...  and my newest characters just use their CE prestige homes.  No point in purchasing a house that requires maintenance when I automatically get two rent free houses for every character.</p>
