<p>Hi</p><p>Further to your recent update in regards to character transfers, I am on a 12 month non recurring gold membership purchased through the marketplace and just the other day transfered 2 of my characters from Splitpaw to Unrest as I live in New Zealand and Unrest is a better server timezone wise for me to be on as Splitpaw is dead at the times I play.  I was looking to transfer 2 other characters next month after payday but reading your post it gives me the impression I will not be able to do so now?  Please could you clarify this for me and if I am reading it correctly explain why I would not be able to transfer my characters just because I am on a non recurring membership?  I am still a paying customer and have been for near on 7 years and only took out the years membership because of the triple station cash offer last month made it worthwhile to do so and would next expect to be penalised in any way because of this.</p><p>Regards</p>

<p>Non-recurrings don't get to transfer servers or account to account. It's an interesting technique, denying yourself money as they get $25 a pop, but there may be some behind the scense reason for doing so. If one pays for a year non-recurring, and during that year, decides they want to transfer and adds a CC to their account to then become recurring, would they still have to wait out their year?</p>

<p>I wonder about this arrangement as well.  When they ran the triple sc, you either had to be flat broke or slow in the head to NOT buy the year's subscription.  Instead of paying $15 x 12 months = $180 you could pay just $30 using the Walmart cards.  I didnt think there would be a penalty (and that is exactly what SoE is making this) to being smart with your money.  I would very much like to transfer at least one toon between my two accounts but now I am apparently unable to do so because of this made-up rule?  Im a 6-year vet, I dont deserve to be treated like a common spammer.  Matter of fact, they still have my cc info on file.</p><p>Uncool, SoE.</p>

<p>As I got no answer on here, this was the reply I got when I petioned to ask why.</p><p><em>Greetings xxxxxx,Unfortunately, we do require the account to be on a recurring billing plan in order to utilize the Character Transfer Service. After being in a recurring state for at least 7 days, you should be able to see the Transfer Token and utilize the transfer service.The reference number for this ticket is(120115-000057). If you have any other questions or issues, please feel free to contact us.Regards,Stephen H.Customer Support RepresentativeSony Online Entertainment</em></p><p>I asked the same question I asked on here and to me that answer explains nothing but just says tough luck?</p><p>All I am asking is an explanation as to why the sudden change, I just transfered 2 characters last week whilst on the same year plan and so did my husband who is on the same plan!  So why are we now going to be penalised as we are still paying customers and I see no reason I should have to start paying a monthly sub on top of paying for a yearly plan to get characters transfered when you can obviously transfer them, I'm not asking that you transfer them for free, I am intending to pay for the service as I paid for it last week so please explain why the discrimination???   Give us a valid explanation and I will accept it even knowing you are perfectly capable of doing the transfer, but it would be nice not to be ignored.</p>

In your case you were unable to purchase a token because your account was not on a recurring membership. It does not apply for memberships that are purchased with Station Cash, however we were able to offer you a one time alternative payment option. <p>Great service SOE, all I am asking for is an explanation as to why gold memberships with a year non recurring plans (at the moment) are not allowed to character transfer and the only answers I am getting are you are not eligible, no reason or explanation as to why we are not eligible?  That says to me it is a totally terrible reason for the decision and you don't want to admit it to your paying customers.  At this rate I think my ongoing petition will turn into a pretty darn long one <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>It does boggle the mind at how they have this habit of kicking their customers in the teeth and asking for feedback.</p><p>Before they changed the rules people that purchsed a 1 year SC sub could X-fer, then they change them afterwards, at a bare minimum a CC on file and a purchase of $5 SC to validate the account should serve as much purpose as a recurring sub, instead they come up with some half baked idea and steadfastly insist there is no way around it.</p>

<p>To those of you experiencing the same issue as me I have been advised by SOE that now I have set up a recurring membership (even though no money will be taken out for 11 months) I should now see character transfer tokens in 7 days time.</p><p>Off course still no explanation as to why the stupid reasoning behind this decision and shocker no apologies for their total lack of help in this matter.</p><p>At this point to be honest at this point I do not feel inclined to give SOE 1 more cent I am so fed up with them, things I had planned ... 3 more character transfers, a gold membership for my son along with the latest expac for him, all gonna wait now till I feel less kos towards them. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" /></p>
