<p>It seems that since switching to the new patcher, 3 updates so far have caused my launcher to download ~1Gb data.</p><p><a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=513393">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=513393</a></p><p>I created this thread and someone with around the same link speed is downloading the patch in 2 minutes.</p><p>With the old patcher I never had an update (non GU) that took longer than 10minutes yet since the 7th Dec I'm having these bloated downloads.</p><p>I had to restart the launcher 3 times as it's been hogging all the bandwith (512k uk adsl line) for over 7 hours. It's saying 0Mb of 947 Mb however if I was to be generous the progress bar is showing 20% done.</p><p>According to the text it's replacing 150 odd files....</p><p>This is in the "updated file list" so far if i click on advanced tools.</p><p><span style="border-collapse: separate; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 0px; font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #b0bcc7; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">Checking game installation...Found 143 file(s) to update.Replacing paks/Char_B.vpkReplacing paks/Char_ACC2.vpkReplacing paks/Char_mounts.vpkReplacing paks/Char_pets.vpkReplacing paks/Char_C.vpkReplacing paks/Char_ACC.vpkReplacing paks/Char_Shd_SOGA.vpkReplacing paks/Char_monsters5.vpk</span></span></p><p>As you may have guessed I'm using the client that doesn't update in the background.</p><p>I can begin to explain how annoying this is. Any suggestions before I raise a ticket?</p>
