Cannot log in to character select screen--game crashes at "creating entities"

<p>When trying to launch the game from the new launcher, the game frequently launches normally, but when it hits "creating entities" (before I get to the character select screen), it crashes about 80% of the time.  Occassionally I can get through, but I haven't been able to establish any patterns for why it works sometimes and not others.  Please help!</p>

<p>This has been happening to a lot of people since aod went live. Every night when i go to log in-not once in a while, or every so often-but EVERY night, i crash at creating entities, and have to re run the patcher, re enter my username and pw and authenticator code, and pray it only does it the once. More often than not, this happens twice or more. I just bought this computer last year. Eq2 has always ran beautifully on it. In fact, i have never gone ld on it, or had any crashing errors except for when we had that 3 day power outage this past summer due to the storm we had here. I only just started having issues since the day aod/freeport went live. I've tried the various proposed "fixes", even tried that 4g switch thing-no effect. It obviously has nothing to do with my computer. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.</p>

<p>Many causes for such issues have been resolved but not all have been fully identified yet.  Also, not all are server side, some client side issues can result in this exact behavior.  That's our first step is to identify which group you belong to.</p><p>Post your DXDIAG information for me OR open a support ticket and include a description of the issue along with DXDIAG/MSINFO files.</p>
