View Full Version : The Deadly Icestorm in Frostfang Sea - not lootable

<p>I am solo questing like always and just killed The Deadly Icestorm twice out in Frostfang Sea with my new toon.  It is needed for a quest, but also drops a No-Trade item called Superb Bangle.  The chest was not lootable.  I tried to log out and log back in, still didn't work.  I sent a petition along with a screenshot and exact time of the kill.  Here was my response:</p><p>"I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble looting a Superb Bangle. I checked your logs, but I am unable to find any instances of you recently receiving kill credit for The Deadly Icestorm. Unfortunately, we will not be able to grant you the Superb Bangle because of this. I apologize for being unable to help you in this situation, but please know that we're here for you if you have any other questions and concerns."</p><p>This has happened to me twice, where I am being told I'm S.O.L even after submitting proof.  The loot itself is not important, it's the principle and the fact that it's a game issue.  If they don't fix it, other people will continue to have this problem.</p><p>Please fix this.</p>

<p>Did you have a merc when you did this?</p><p>I would not be at all surprised to learn that if the merc landed the killshot it would invalidate their records.</p><p>You can also post the logs here.</p><p>You are not alone here, there are more than a handful of zones, quests (from regular through heritage) that are broken and have been broken for MONTHS on end. I have 4 petitions right now that are closed with pretty much the same reply.</p><p>Don't hold it against the GM's though they can't help you because of policy dictated from above from someone that doesn't care how long your progress is held up, for a quest update even if it is a zone that you have cleared time and time again. Normally the GM's can help you, and are always happy to do so whenthey can.</p><p>This is an area where they can not though unfortunately, /bug it /feedback it and then /petition it, if it is similar to this expect a response like you got here (so you are not disappointed) but if the head of the GM's gets tired of the foolish deriliction and lack of regard for quality gameplay they will put it on someone.</p>

<p>The Technical Support department is responsible for troubleshooting client side issues with you and we do not have any type of in-game power or authority.</p><p>Follow up with your petitions and calmly explain the situation as best as you can.  While I can't help troubleshoot this, or fix it for you as us TSR's are not part of the dev team, but I can do my best to help follow up as well and keep an eye on the issue.</p>

<p>Also I had a similar response to something once where I was chatting while buying red adorns (VERY BAD IDEA) I pressed my talk button said something and at the same time clicked and went from 3 crit mit runes to 20 (replenish stack lol)</p><p>The initial response said they could not find it in my logs so I went into my log folder and pasted the entire merchant transaction session from the logs then they allowed me to pick the adorns I wanted, would not simply refund the shards/plat, but in the end I'll use them all anyway just wasted bag space.</p>

<p>A possible issue could still be occurring if you have autoloot set under your group options - I experienced this when using the feature several times when trying to loot no drop or some heirloom items - try turning off auto loot options and see if it gives you the option then. It seems to be an issue with a confirmation box popup, or was in my case.</p>

<p>Locking this up.  Posting anything but gen tech support requests or discussions here is not allowed.   I understand your intent but please stick to the purpose of each sub forum.  If you want maximum exposure for a general ingame issue, the standard general discussion forums would fit best.</p>
