Recieved email about Silver Upgrade but still at Bronze

<p>Recieved an email earlier this month that I had been upgraded to a Silver membership automatically. Enticed me to re-download the entire game and install everything, only to find out that nothing has been upgraded.</p><p>Is there some kind of activation for this upgrade etc, or special thing that I have to do? Email didn't mention anything. The link on the email just took me to the main website.  If this was a case of false advertising or a screw-up, would have been nice to recieve a warning before-hand.</p><p>Any help appreciated.</p>

<p>did you ever subscribe to the game?  only former subscribers were automatically granted silver.  if so, are you logging into the account that was once a subscriber?</p>

<p>I have never subscribed to EQ 2, only EQ 1. Only tried EQ back in July for a short while.  Without chat features wasn't sure whether I'd like to invest or not, hence me coming back to trial the silver membership.</p><p>Guess I was lied to in the email then. Really don't appreciate false advertising or other deviant business practices. Would have been nice to know rather than wasting my bandwidth and time on something fraudulent. Uninstalling.</p>

<p>you werent lied to.  you didn't read it correctly.  it stated on the email that FORMER SUBSCRIBERS got the upgrade.  if you werent a former subscriber, then it didn't apply to you.</p>
