I am using a Nvidia 560 card now, and still getting the shading bug as I did with the ATI card.

Past 3 days now since I have it installed, every so often I will crash randomly, no real reason that I can see.

1) Zoned into my home about to approach the researcher.

2) Swimming in water in an open ocean area

3) Zoned to Isle of Mara

..from what I can remember.

got these crashes too, same error report.

In combination with the "loading entities" crash before im even really logged in, this "new" (only started having these for two weeks top now) bug makes playing the game into a real nightmare.

I can crash at every zoning now + it was already a big gamble to get in the game to begin with ....

Posted this over a weekl ago and not even a TSR response. Sony is really starting to let me down.

I crash probabaly 10-12 times a day.

I have the Mem-leak which means I cant go into freeport or a t3 guild hall without crashing.. Sony says its your sytems drivers whatever. I have reformatted my drive - reinstalled everything with up to date drivers and reinstalled eq2 added more memory, increased page fault size to 8 gigs and I have a good system. A few years ago they had the the same mem-leak type problem and kept saying it is your system until they finally fessed up and fixed it.

Still crashing after zoning all the time.

Lose sound, only in eq2 all the time.

Then there is just the random program not responding crashing.

Gawd I love this game!

It miscategorizes the issue and does not come close to describing the per application limit that you are attempting to exceed which results in an out of memory error. No matter how much ram or pagefile you have, EQII cannot request more than 1.5-2GB of memory, no matter what, unless you configure it to allow that manually. I have no idea what you are referring to a few years ago and all I can say is that it is not necessary to diagnose and resolve any issue that occurs today.

From here, open a support ticket and include your DXDIAG/MSINFO file so we can inspect and make recommendations. You'll need to do this even if its a de facto server side issue as we must submit all information to our development team who actually makes that diagnosis.

I am locking up this thread and any threads similar to it that do not include a request for actual troubleshooting and your DXDIAG information.
