With the amount of developement that goes into this application I have a difficult time understanding why SOE cant even make a simple launcher. As I am typing this, I am waiting on the launcher screen while it shows "playing" wondering why the hell isnt anything happening. I dont see any type of progress, no game popping up behind this god awful system, yet it is still telling me im playing. I sure as hell am not PLAYING. I had 2 accounts but cancelled one of them last week because of connection issues that have occured since AoD. I kept this one hoping you were intelligent enough to listen to the community and deal with real issues like connectivity. No reason to keep "PAYING" and "PLAYING" when my play consists of sitting here typing my discontent and watching your scrolling adds while nothing happens. Ive subscribed to this game since 2005 and am finally at the point to cancel my main account as well. The only thing stopping me is that I am in a fantastic guild with wonderful people and its difficult to let that go.

Is is just beyond your capability to make a game that will launch effectively, quickly, and everytime like WoW, Eve Online, or Rift? Ive played all of those and have never had issues like this.

I've been having the same issue on and off, however, I've been able to go into Task Manager and end the Everquest2.exe process and that would fix the issue. But since you are unable to see the process, I couldn't even begin to fathom what your issue is.

I'm not impressed with the new launcher. Before, I wasn't prone to random crashes. Now I am. I've talked to technical support and the answer I got is, "It must be you, because we've never heard of this issue happening." Quite honestly, I find that hard to believe, given the amount of topics I've seen since the new launcher was released.

Congratulations SOE! Due to your launcher suddenly not working again for absolutely no apparent reason, I have cancelled my main account now as well. I honestly dont believe you give a S*** or you wouldnt turn out a game for people to pay for that wont even launch with reliability. I have never since 2005 had so many problems even getting into game. There are too many options for entertainment to spend my money on that are reliable.

Seeya.

Theres other ways to run the game without the launcher, you just failed to try them.

People with that kinda attitude I wouldn't want around anyways.

Bye.

You know, it might be more helpful if you gave the rest of us some of these other options instead of just sitting there smugly.

Locking this thread up.

The LaunchPad developers have their own forum if you just want a soapbox, http://forums.station.sony.com/stat...?category_id=56 . I can only help troubleshoot issues with you as that is the purpose of the technical support department, we are not the development team for any product.

Try to keep in mind that the forums are not guaranteed instant responses from a representative and the holiday season does impose delays. You are welcome to create a new thread if you would like to request troubleshooting assistance with any particular issue you are having with the LP or the game itself but I cannot, nor will I, comment on anything outside of that intent which is specifically discussion on or actual troubleshooting client side issues.
