View Full Version : Crashing on "unloading zone"

Any ideas on this-

During regular game play I frequently crash when zoning, specifically, it gets to the "unloading zone" every time and simple stops. The game doesn't respond and I have to kill it in task manager. I can then immediately start the game again and continue playing having arrived in the zone I was going to.

Sometimes it happens after a few minutes of playing, other times hours of playing, but its always on unloading zone between zones. Once in a while, it will completely lock up my PC (hard restart needed).

Also I can get it to consistently hard lock my PC any time I try to zone into player made dungeons.

I have cleared my "cache" folders as recommended by others, deleted zone files for those I have crashed on and redownloaded them. I have turned settings up and down (down into lego mode type down), turned everything off, avoided running any other apps, etc.

Any ideas?

Might I mention that it happens the most when leaving Freeport and only started doing this after the expansion?

Visit Nvidia.com and download the latest available driver set for your card and run through the DX9 update instructions below.

Please download and run the file linked in the article below. This is a self-extracting executable file that will prompt you to select a folder for extraction. Create a folder on your desktop and direct it to that folder. Once complete, open that folder and run the DXSETUP file to start the actual update itself.

[DX9] June 2010 - http://www.microsoft.com/download/e...ls.aspx?id=8109
