Gaming running like dung!! Need some help!!

<p>OK so my computer should be more than able to run EQ2 at full settings. However this game still runs like a pile when I turn my settings up. I love the looks with shadows but play with them in some areas is well not happing. So here are my specs if anyone has any input on how to make the game run better with my stuff let me know.</p><p>AMD FX-8120 3.2ghz 8-core</p><p>8GB 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance memory</p><p>120gb Intel X25 SSD</p><p>HIS 6870 1GB Video Card</p><p>850w Kingwin Power Supply</p><p>KillerNic XenoPro Network Card</p><p>Windows 7 X64</p>

<p>Most games, playing with shadows on tanks performance.</p><p>It has to do with the algorithm used to compute them. Only thing I can suggest is use GPU shadows, not CPU, because most of the game's stuff is done on the CPU and you're essentially blocking yourself from having the CPU process anything else if it's also doing the shadows.</p>
