View Full Version : Mercenary

I'm not sure which area to put this in. My mercenary Stamper Jeralf just went wacko and ran through Nek Forest...out of sight, over a hill, and aggroed the world. What's up with that? Is that usual behavior? He hasn't done it before and it isn't like we were losing a fight.

Anyone else have this happen?

LOL.

This thread brings the funny. I love it. How much fun would it be if occasionally the mercs just went Leeroy Jenkins in a dungeon?

That would be hilarious.

From my experience, if you are agro to mobs then so is your merc. If you invis and become non agro your merc becomes non agro. You mentioned being on a hill... After hopping up or down to some place a merc thinks he cant get to, he will path away to take the "scenic" route to get to you and if you are currently agro to the mobs he passes along the way, he will happily bring a very large train along with him.

This can be defined as SoE Pathing(tm). Same reason that shaman dogs run the way they do for pet pulls on mobs like the first one in ToRZ, cloak mob etc.
