Up until yesterday the Station Launcher still allowed me to access my friend's list and in-game voice. I knew this was going to be phased out.

Has the functionality now been completely stopped?

Yes it has. Many features were lost in this 'upgrade'. It also will not save your station name alone, it will save your name and password but not your station name, patch notes are not viewable on the launcher and the 'ads' that cycle do not take you to a proper page just a generic landing page. This is the world of half-baked goods, there are some things improved in this launcher, but they were determined to thrust this on us.

Yours still worked? Must have been on one of the few servers that did. I think after the last server upgrades we got it seemed to break and would not get the friends or allow VC. I used to use it tons. There is actually a specific forum for it: http://forums.station.sony.com/stat...?category_id=56

They were aware of this issue many months ago, I guess they are not going to keep LP2 going. Too bad, it was nice when I was swapping accounts and characters a lot to stay in voice with my friend.

The problem is that the data feeds that Station Launcher used for its Friends List have gone away. SOE is rewriting all of those functions. That's also why the "My Characters" function vanished from EQ2Players. The old system never quite worked on a good day, and it rarely had good days. It looks like SOE decided to start from scratch with all of it.

We were warned that Station Launcher would break. I stopped using it for EQ2 when AoD launched because it only let me access the Trial version despite my subscription.

The big annoyance now is the vaccuum we're in after the old features go away and before the new features roll out.
