Cannot contact Login Servers

<p>I have toons on Freeport, which is down atm, but why can I not access the login servers to play on a different server?</p>

<p>I like the new eq2 front page with the server status on it (it even shows the servers down right now for the patch).  The only thing I miss from the old server status page was that it would give a forewarning for the next patch.  In other words, I could look at it on Tuesday, for example, and it would say that the servers would be down Wed morning for patch/hotfix/etc with an expected downtime of 1 hour.  I've looked on the new home page and in the forums but haven't found a place where that info is presented.  Could we get this on the new frontpage or even just added to the game update notes which are usually posted the day prior anyway?</p>

<p>Due to hard drive crash, I've been off for a while.  Just tried logging in, and I've got this funky communicator-thingie popping up and so far no method of getting into the game.  Is it still down?</p>
