Hi, so first off, every time I tried to log in to the public test server a got a message saying "Fatal error, Everquest 2 has detected an unrecoverable error and must shut down" and then below that text it says " G:liveeq2gameClientsrcClientApp.cpp (4103): Failed to open streaming asset databse. OpenResult=-11004162b4 01085". So I tried validating the game assets and restarting my computer, but nothing fixed it. At that point I tried logging into live and was able to get in just fine, so I opened a thread in the "In testing feedback" section about it. So later I shut down and packed up my computer (I was at a friends house) and set it up at my house. I finished setting it up, and when I booted up my computer my startup screen was some weird blue backround, my monitor resolution was all screwed up, and I got a system recovery message. I tried to fix whatever it was through the system recovery thing, but in the end was forced to set my computer back to before what ever broke it happened (not sure how that works). Now Im not sure if it was the launcher or not, but the only thing that was different about my computer after I set it back was that the new launchpad wasnt installed. At this point Im really confused as to what happened to my computer, and I dont really want to try downloading the launchpad again.... Some help would be appreciated. Thanks

Everything seems to be somewhat working now, but I would like to know what caused this, and if I should install the launcher again.

The information is really vague and anyone who would try to help could only speculate.

I would recommend reading the sticky up at top entitled "Before You Post" and I think possibly in your situation, skip down to the part that describes how to do the msinfo. If you have Windows 7 x64, you will need to type in msinfo32 to get it to pop up. That info would probably be the best first choice of info to provide those who can help you and of course the all important dxdiag.

Even though the computer has been rolled back, the logs are still linear (msinfo error reports) and might provide clues to the tech people about what happened. If you are familiar with the Windows Event viewer and it's logs are intact, some clues might be found in there too by reviewing information in both program and system events.

Speculations are only guesses and here are mine:

Computer moved, something came loose durring transit.

Computer was not shut down properly. There were Windows updates being pushed around that time and shutting down a computer while doing updates can damage the OS.

Friend's network was insecure and you picked up a nasty bug that is having fun with your OS.

As you can see, it is all guessing. So until more info is provided for by you it's all speculation and it will take longer to get the help you need.create your MSINFO information:

Hrmmm alright, Ill get to work on getting the msinfo text.

EDIT: So I got the information, but its a really large amount of text even with only the specified fields.... Its actually not allowing me to post the needed info here because theres too much text, but Ill see if I can find a way to work around it =D
