So I was on from approximately 1030am PST until 230pm PST with no issues today, then after being on one toon for a few hours straight I changed to a different toon. Playing that one for a bit my screen suddenly went black and I had to restart my computer. Since that point everytime I've restarted and logged on no longer than a few minutes it happens. I've downloaded and installed the DX9 I've cleaned my computer up as much as I know how to do and yet I still cant log on for longer than a few minutes.

Should I wipe the game and reload everything??

I don't get it. I haven't had any issues with the game so far being able to play that couldn't quickly be resolved until now. I was even fine after the expansion up until Saturday. Nothing changed on my end. So now I get rehashed things to try doing that still havent worked. Disabling Shader (never was enabled), DX9, deleting ini files and reloading, low memory modes, bcdedits, etc....all for me to be able to stay online for about 10mins and then it crashes.

Is it because I took advantage of triple SC offer on Friday?? Anyone anyone at all, have any ideas? This is beyond frustrating.

Sooooo, I haven't got a response in two days since I called and they asked for my DxDiag log. Am I to assume that when I get home from work, the Server merge fixed my crashing issues? I'll find out in a few hours.

Your graphics card has a " Driver Date 8/4/2009" and that's kinda old for a driver. The old driver may be contributing towards your crashing and might be a good place to start your troubleshooting efforts.

I have noticed others with ati cards having issues. I am not sure at all if this will help you but this is what i did on my home computer:

I went into control panel and removed Everquest2.

I then did a search for all Sony, Everquest, EQ2X, etc files and deleted all of those ( i didn't want some file messing me up down the road ).

I then restarted my system and deleted my trash folder.

Then I cam to the site and Clicked the Play for Free button and let it do it's thing. That will auto give you the streaming client. If you don't want that, then SKIP the Play for Free button, and come to the support forums and the Launchpad 4 thread and do the Full Client.

It has worked for me, now the only time i crash is if I zone a lot ( like for the Rise of the Goddess Quest ).

Hope that helps you out!

I'm blown away. I have updated everything under the sun, uninstalled and reinstalled the game a couple times. And yet, as of this morning, I still am not able to stay logged on longer than 10mins or so before crashing. Yet, even though I've never had a problem before, even after the expanison I still was fine for a few days, I all of a sudden can't play any more??? And it's my computers fault?? You could have got a virus, or not installed something correctly, and oh, your computer isnt a supported system. Sooo, what, that's it? Buy a new computer or quit the game is that my choices??

I've gotten pretty much the same type of responses from support or community my issue is crashing upon loading into my guilds T2 guild hall in sq (T1 works fine very little issue there and only an occasional memory crash in one of my houses) which is funny because my game was fine prior to AoD launch. I got the xpac the day of launch not preorder but was in game prior to unlocking it so and started crashing in gh. So whatever they did screwed up the game for myself an many others but hey it must be our systems...on top of the lag game wide and zone crashes this is as worse as I have ever seen it in 7 years...wait for a hotfix people say I would however the last hotfix didnt address much of anything community driven except maybe tweaking their dungeon maker and make Q city open pvp instead of fixing freeport the way it was before...but i digress.

Day 11 and still not fixed. I get it's the holidays, I do believe they should have time off like the rest of us for the holidays. However, why does my ticket now say "waiting for GM" and how long is that wait gonna be? I've already missed moonlight enchantments, does this mean I'm gonna miss the double exp time as well???

I logged in for about 4 minutes, went to grab a quest, as as soon as I did, my computer crashed with a high pitch sound and had to manually reboot it. I thought it was maybe my onboard sound that was causing the issue, since I hear a noise when it crashes, so I put in my old SB Audigy card.....still crashing, so that wasnt the issue. I still have the gut feeling that is is NOT my computer...mainly because I can play Skyrim, SWTOR, Sims 3 and even EverQuest without a problem. Only EQ2 makes my computer crash constantly.

The shading in the game is still not fixed yet (ATI).

Fortunately still able to log in and play at home on my mac Lepoard Windows side. Sure hope this gets fixed soon. Sciari et. al.

Well it's been over 3 weeks now and I'm still having problems with crashing. On a whim, I tried playing on battery power alone and wouldnt you know, I can play as long as my battery lasts however the framerate degrades by half. I tried plugging into the wall directly and still crash, and at the suggestion of one of my guildmates, I took the battery out all together and tried playing on "straight AC" and I continue to crash after 5-10mins.

My ticket was to be forwarded to the Advanced Support Team yet I haven't heard a peep in 2 weeks other than what appears to be a canned letter talking about response time being long. Anyone, anyone have any other suggestions other than drop kicking my computer and go buy another one? I'm going to get one soon but at the risk of being ungrateful of the cool things AoD brought, it wasn't worth only being about to play a battery charge at a time.

Wulu

The issue is a blatant memory leak and a massive one at that. We saw the same thing in RoK and SOE told us "There's no memory leak" and then a few months later "Hey we fixed that memory leak we said wasn't there!"

Typical SOE.

Yeah ... I'm crashing every few minutes .... a lot of times it happens when I zone, but there are also times when I'm not zoning it happens. It's obviously not people's computers. It's on Sony's side. I'm going to give my pc a break and not do anymore driver updates/uninstalls, no game reinstalls, no hard drive formats, and just accept the fact that until they release a patch or workaround, I'm just gonna crash. Maybe we'd get a faster fix if we all submitted tickets.....?

*EDIT*

I fixed my crashing problem completely!

I posted how:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=513715

Now mind you, no other game do I have issues with, including DC Online, the Clone Wars game, or anything else. It's just EQ. So what you both are saying is that starting after the expansion my power supply is no longer able to handle EQ but handle everything else? I've updated drivers multiple times, and downloaded a stress test that was recommended which said it was within normal capabilities (can't remember exactly what it said, I'm still at work).

Please don't take my skepticism wrong, I do thank you for your input, and any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
