Hi,

I have an Aspire One netbook with dual core 1g / 2g ram / radeon hd 6250 video card. I cannot launch the game and when I go into [Game Configuration] I have no available resolutions to choose from.

selecting/deselecting fullscreen makes no difference, I have attempted to add height and width to .ini files, I have deleted .ini files, all drivers are up to date, other games run, yadda yadda, and I have had no luck launching the game so far.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Yes please post your DXDIAG info so we can make recommendations. Include as much as will fit in a single response starting from the top.

You can also update your DX9 just in case.

Please download and run the file linked in the article below. This is a self-extracting executable file that will prompt you to select a folder for extraction. Create a folder on your desktop and direct it to that folder. Once complete, open that folder and run the DXSETUP file to start the actual update itself.

[DX9] June 2010 - http://www.microsoft.com/download/e...ls.aspx?id=8109

Bump. Any ideas, anyone?

EDIT ; ADDITIONAL INFO

The windows error that eventually occurs contains Fault Module Name: vivoxsdk.dll

That has something to do with voice chat I believe?

My install folder is in C:UsersPublic could this be causing problems?

The .dll files in my eq2 folder are not the most recent versions and their modified dates are old. For example vivoxsdk.dll is ver : 3.0.0005.7314 and was last modified on Sept 14 /2009

Is it possible that eq2 cannot update all files? Eq2 is running as admin.

What is the exact full model of this netbook? I ask because maybe the full model might yeild results with an internet search. Such as common problems with a particular model, etc. Such info might not solve your problem but it could create a starting point in trying to figure out what is going on.

First thing that comes to my mind is a power scheme problem. Maybe stuck in a power saving mode creating a situation where it falls way below the minimum requirements. Netbooks are not known to be robust to begin with and a power saving situation could prevent certain applications from running.
